Dream Smashers: Book 1

13.Third Man

It was 8 p.m and I was sitting in the living room , just thinking about what scott meant exactly , in was confused about what he was referring to. I thiight only the person who see's them in the dreams can locate the next host.

"This makes no sense" i told myself "shouldn't tyler have recognized him ......unless he's the other man"

I grabbed my phone and made another call

Tyler:
Hey Greg whats up?

Greg:
How did the man in your dream look ,the third guy?"

Tyler
"Oh him....well he actally changed he's now a smaller man , like in the 5'10 area, hes a brunette with a full beard, bigger than yours and he was light skin, also he has sapphire blue eyes. Why what's up"

Greg
"Well while i was getting the stuff at the super market i ran into the cashier at the end of the isle and well he wants me to call about something he knows i know"

Tyler
"Seems edgy but he seemed pretty chill"

Greg
"Yeah i just wanted to see your opinion.......okay talk to you later bye "

I hung up and started dialing in his nunber on my phone. It rang a couple times and then a familiar voice answered

Scott
"Hey who's this?"

Greg
"Its me Greg"

Scott
"Oh hey Greg you finally called"

Greg
"Well i didn't think you were free at the time"

Scott
"Its cool hey can you come get me i need to show you something"

Greg
"Uhh......i'm not sure about that"

Scott
"Its fine but you need to see this Greg it's urgent"

Greg
"Alright"

Scott
"I'm at the supermarket still so get me here"

I hung up and grabbed my keys and put on my jacket , i thought about taking off my beanie but i choose to keep it on. I drove off and within 10 mintues i arrived at the supermarket and right infront of it scott stood. He walked over to the car a climbed in.

"Hey lets go" he told me putting on his seat belt

"Well give me the directions" I told him as exited the parking lot

As I made my way out of the city we were at a different side of town. It was surrounded by forests but you can see that there's a path going through it you just need to climb through a fence.

"What are we doing here exactly Scott? " I asked turning off the engine but keeping the car on.

"Hold on" he told me as he closed his eyes.

He seemed like he was focusing intensely on something but I stayed quiet to see what he was doing. After 2 minutes he opened his eyes and spoke.

"Okay let's go it's still there" he said as he climbed out

"What are you talking about?" I asked following him

"Just follow me and you'll see"he told me as we entered the forest.

We walked deeper and deeper into the woods, it was your usual woods but the only odd thing was that it was extremely quiet , to the point where you are able to hear your heartbeat

"Do you know where we're going?" I asked slightly on edge

"Yes I have it memorized" he told me not turning back

I just followed him and we kept walking for 15 minutes and we eventually reached a cave. It reminded me about the one form my dream except Edward and Eric weren't here so I just passed it off as a coincidence.

"What are we doing Scott" asked pulling out my phone and turning on the flashlight

"Hold up I got this" he stood there and shut his eyes and opened then with his eyes glowing which illuminated the cave in a blue light.

I stared at disbelief at what I just witnessed. He signaled me to follow, so I turned off my light and followed after him. I was in awe by what i had just witnessed but I still followed him since he knew were he was going.

We walked around 5 more minutes and the cave had a similar climate to the forest ,it felt empty.

"Okay we're here" he told me as we got the end of the cave

"But that's just a wall"

He placed his hand on the wall and a blue light surged through it and it opened up revealing a room filled with four statues, across a giant circle platform ,with a stand in the center and a book sitting on top of it.

"What is this place" I asked

"Our home territory" he added as the light from the eyes faded

I walked in , examining the statues and reading the plaques that sat at the foot of each of them. They all had different names and I read then in order: the defender , the warrior ,the mage ,the leader.

"What's the statues for?" I asked

"It's for the four of us, I'm the mage" he said smiling

"what's the book for"

I approached it and examined it. It had a withered down look as if it sat there for centuries

"From what I've read only the leader can access the book"he explained

"So I'm guessing you can't move it" I asked

"Nope not at all" he said

"What makes you think ill be able to?"

"Because there's something about you that makes me believe you'll be able to do it" he said as he stepped forward "also there's a plaque that had a quote on it :from the dream warriors , there shall be one who remains at slumber until awakened and shall have full access to the powers and legendary book"

I looked at him and thought to myself a bit, from what I noticed ,Tyler ,Scott , and person number four all have blue eyes.

"I can't be the leader ......... can i?" I told myself softly

"You'll be able to do it Greg" he said looking addy me confidently

I stared at him briefly and reached foward towards the book I grabbed it and it changed from a withered down cover to a silver metallic cover with gold pages

"Well then welcome aboard leader" he said smiling at me

I looked at him in shock from what happened and I started feeling a tingling sensation in my face ,so I pulled out my phone to see what was going on , noticing that my eyes have changed from Brown to the same shade of blue in Scott's eyes. Heck even my hair had changed its grey now but it's still healthy like when it was brown.

"You've finally awakened ...... leader" he said smiling
