It was the day of the wedding. I was getting ready in my room with Dani and Opal as well.
"I'm glad you chose pastel colors for us." Opal said spinning around in her pastel yellow.
"Yeah me too." Dani agreed grinning at her reflection. The pastel pink made her tan skin appear even darker.
"I can't feel my legs." They laughed at my nervous behavior.
"Caffeine you look amazing." Opal promised me. My dress was plain but I had a necklace that stood out. My hair was tightly bound in small curls. I had natural makeup on that Opal forced me to wear. I hadn't added my jewelry or shoes yet, nor my hair piece.
"What If he changes his mind?" I asked. This thought had never occurred to me. He was Dallas Winston after all.
"Stop." Dani looked me dead in the eye before calming me down. "This boy is ridiculously in love with you. He's going to marry you and y'all are going to be happy."
I smiled at her. I couldn't believe I was standing here about to marry Dally. Life had changed so much in the last year. I couldn't quite wrap my mind around it. I was so thankful God had given these people to me.
"We're going to wait outside. Come out when you're ready." Dani informed me. I think she could see myself lost in my head. I nodded slightly and they left. I put on the finish and touches and took a deep breath.
"I'm ready." I said quietly to myself. And with that I walked out where the gang, minus Dally, and the girls were waiting.
"Wow." Steve said as I stepped out.
"You're beautiful." Johnny added in his sweet voice.
I looked over at my brothers. Ponyboy and Soda were smiling and Darry had his face in the palms of his hands.
"Darry what's wrong?" I asked nervously. He looked up with tears rolling down his face and just hugged me.
"You're so gorgeous. I can't believe you're actually getting married. You're my baby sister." He cried and with that everyone with the last name Curtis began to cry.
"Don't cry! You'll ruin your makeup!" Opal yelled causing us to laugh. Ironically, it stopped the tears.
"I love you Darry. And you too baby brothers." We all had a group hug, which the rest of the boys and then the girls joined in on.
"It's time to go." Opal said parting from the group hug.
I took a deep breath. Darry grabbed my hand and we loaded in the car and headed to the church. The church where I'm getting married in.
