Chapter 17

Serenity's POV
-Two Days Later-
After we told the twins of Barry being arrested, the past two nights consisted of the trial and then Ralph stepping up to becoming a hero. Every now and then they kept bringing up random questions of why Barry was fine now and how long he stayed in prison with me or Barry telling them it'll come in one of stories.
We were now on our way to a park where we played laser tag when we found Becky.
"Where are we going?" DJ asked.
"It's a team bonding day so we're gonna head to the park." I said and looked back at the twins who had a glint in their eyes.
"Don't you dare prank anyone there with your speed." I said, "Don't even dare think about using your speed today."
The twins groaned while Barry laughed at how I always have to tell them this before we parked the car and got out to see Caitlin, Cisco, and Iris arriving too.
"Hey guys." I said and waved at them while Barry got the twins out.
"You ready for some laser tag?" Cisco asked.
"Hell yeah." Barry said when he walked over to us with the twins.
"Auntie Iris." The two yelled out hugged her, "Auntie Caitlin." They continued and hugged her, "Uncle Cisco." They both went to hug him.
"Are you two ready to play laser tag?" He asked the two and the both nodded excitedly.
"Race ya." DJ said but ran normally to where the laser tag was at with Dawn after him and Cisco behind the two.
"Wait you need an adult." He said trying to catch up to them.
Caitlin then walked behind the two laughing at how childish Cisco was.
"You two coming?" Barry asked.
"I'm gonna pass this time." I said.
"Same, we'll get the picnic stuff ready." Iris said and I nodded my head before Barry kissed my check and walked away.
"The stuff is in my car." Iris said and we walked over to her car trying to spot some areas which would be good for our picnic with two very active kids.
-15 Minutes Later-
We found a good location and set up the blanket and set the baskets down.
"So how's story time?" Iris asked.
"We told them about Barry being arrested, the trial, and then Ralph stepping up." I said.
"Damn, how's that going?" She asked.
"They just keep on asking certain questions when we're home so be prepared for being questioned." I said before looking up to see the twins running at us.
"Mommy, I'm hungry." Dawn whined before sitting on my lap while the others sat down on the blanket with DJ sitting on Barry's lap.
Iris and I then opened the baskets and handed the prepared meals for the kids to the twins before the rest of us grabbed food to enjoy some lunch.
"Aunties, Uncles, how come daddy still has his job?" DJ asked a few minutes into our lunch with everyone then looking at him when me and Barry looked at each other ready for what is gonna happen.
