Chapter 24

Serenity's POV
-Flashback-
While everyone was busy working on their own thing, Caitlin and Cisco talking with Gypsy's dad, Barry and Ralph checking a crime scene, and Iris doing her own thing probably with her blog, I was playing with the twins while also doing some at home paper work I need to get done for work. I then started to hear some coos and went to check on the twins who were playing with each other in their little play pen we had set up for them.
"Looks like someone starting to become tired." I said before Dawn yawned and I managed to grab both of them. I then brought them to their room and rocked them to sleep. I then went back downstairs to see that I had some texts from Iris and Cisco.
Iris texted just keeping me up on the meta Barry and Ralph are looking for while Cisco texted me to get down here. I then proceeded to call him knowing I couldn't leave the twins here without a babysitter.
"What's happening?" I asked once he picked up.
"Hold up. Gonna face time you instead." He said and I then looked on my phone screen to accept the face time before seeing a floating Barry.
"What the hell happened?" I asked and just looked at shock. Iris and Joe caught me up with the situation that just happened.
After that, the team went to talk about what this Null person powers were and how to get Barry down before he just dropped.
"Oh my god. Barry, are you ok?" I asked before he got up and nodded before I heard a cry coming from upstairs.
"Well I'm going back to mommy duty. Please text me and I'll be down there in a hurry." I said to the team and they all nodded before I went to get the twins and went back to working and watching them.
-Nighttime-
I went to make dinner for the twins before I got a text telling me to get down to the labs now before I rushed and grabbed the twins before we left. Once we got to the Cortex I handed the twins to Iris before getting into my gear and getting all the info.
"Barry and Ralph are there." Cisco said.
"I'll just be back up in case." I said before grabbing some of the meta dampening cuffs before leaving and heading to the party.
When I got there I saw everyone outside in panic before I ran in and hid to not see Barry but Ralph trying to grab at something above us.
"Where's Barry?" I asked.
"Up there." Ralph said, "I got a plan."
He then went back to normal for one arm and managed to grab the cuffs from me. In case of anything, I prepped an arrow and aimed at Null. I then saw Ralph put the cuffs around her ankles before hearing in the ear piece that was Barry was falling.
"What the hell was this plan Ralph?" I yelled at him before I saw him blow himself up to a trampoline before catching Barry. We then all headed back to the lab with Null before walking into the Cortex to then have a little after mission talk before seeing Barry give us all an eye and we all vacated the area with Iris helping me put the twins back into the car. The two were becoming fussy for not having been fed their dinner yet.
"Tell Barry I left early to get dinner ready." I said to Iris and she nodded before heading back.
