Serenity's POV
"Aunties, Uncles, how come daddy still has his job?" DJ asked a few minutes into our lunch with everyone then looking at him when me and Barry looked at each other ready for what is gonna happen.
After exchanging looks, I looked back up to see Caitlin and Cisco with shocked expressions while Iris was trying to figure out what to say to them.
I leaned further into Barry's side to whisper to him.
"Explain it to them. Iris and I will take the kids down to the playground for a minute." I said and he nodded his head.
"DJ, Dawn. How about we go play at the playground and come back for more food?" I said and the two nodded before running over to play on the slide. I then gave a look to Iris who knew what to do and walked over with me to sit on a bench to watch the twins.
"I know what you mean now." Iris said.
"Yeah we still have to tell them about that area so good luck on answering that question." I said and she nodded her head.
"I've got it." She said before she called over the twins to walk back.
"Auntie Iris will you tell us about daddy still have a job?" Dawn asked and DJ nodded his head while holding my hand.
"You little ones will learn from the stories your mom and dad will tell you just wait." She said and I nodded my head loving her answer.
"But it'll take too long." DJ whined.
"Then who won't get a story tonight when we get home about daddy's trial." I told the two.
"We'll wait mommy. DJ is just saying some weird things." Dawn said before running back over to eat more with her behind.
Iris and me then went to sit where we sat originally before she turned to talk with Caitlin and Cisco before I turned around to tell Barry about what Iris told them.
"So Iris handled the situation with the twins." I said.
"Thank god." He said before wrapping an arm around my waist and putting his head on my shoulder.
"Always the savior for our situations." I said and he nodded his head before kissing my neck. We then continued with lunch before having a chill day.
