Dear Reader,
I wonder if it has ever crossed your mind that you are not just a body and a soul.
You are so much more.
You are not a single unit, but so many other pieces and fractions.
You are your own distinct fingerprints and tongue impressions.
You are the salt in your bones and the mosaic of skin tones.
You are the narrow sharp or broad thick undeniably beautiful set of eyes with that shade of iris.
You are red and blue viens and the ways they criss-cross themselves in-between the curves of your flesh.
Yes, you might have been told you are art. But no, you are not just a single piece of art you are so many works of art. And everybody adores a different piece of you.
And when you disappear, you don't just take away your body.
You take away your spirit which was the just the right mix of wild and rationality.
You take away those dark brown hair of yours, all the count of hair strands that maybe nobody has.
You take away the soulful voice of yours, the way it said "hello" the way it let out sighs when afraid, the way it sang to the tunes of life or imitated animals and birds and cartoons.
When you leave, you take away, those deep and fine lines on your lips, the way they curl up into a smile and how they press themselves together.
Those eyebrows how they rise and how they fall and how they come together and go far apart. You take away those winks, smirks, whistles and kisses.
When you just vanish, someone misses those lil pieces of arts you are composed of, they miss holding you or hugging you or holding those warm hands of yours with all those crevices.
And if that is not a reason enough, to stay and love yourself. I don't know then what is.
Love,
Writer~~♡~~
