It was a good thing that I was in a good mood today, but something was wrong.
Harry hasn't called since morning.
I know I shouldn't be worried, because all I ever wanted was for him to stop contacting me. Unfortunately, I found myself slowly getting attached and looking forward to his calls, though I still didn't get one today.
So I decided to do something different. I called him instead.
He answered instantly.
"Louis?"
His voice sent shivers down my spine, and it sounded even better now that he was calling my name. But there was something about his voice that troubled me. He doesn't sound happy. At all.
"Hey, Harry," I said softly. "You haven't called me today. What's wrong?"
"Oh," A pause. "Sorry, I'm not... I don't feel good."
"You don't feel good? Are you sick?" I worried. Sick Harry sounded so small and fragile, and all I wanted to do was to wrap my arms around him until he felt better.
"No, I'm not sick. I'm... I don't know."
I frowned. "Hey, what's wrong?"
"..."
For a moment I thought he'd hung up, but when I heard a soft sniff, my heart dropped. Harry was crying. He was crying.
"Haz..."
"... Haz?"
I smiled. "Yeah, Haz. Hazza. Cute, isn't it?"
"I'm not cute, Louis."
"You are, though," I sighed. "You and your cute voice. You're cute."
"Louis, stop."
"Aww, is Hazza blushing?"
"Lou!"
I smirked in victory when I heard him groan. He always took the time to give me a call, even when I kept cutting him off, so it'll be good if I could take his mind off that something that made him sad. I didn't want him sad. I needed my Happy Harry.
We talked longer than usual, and I tried to make him laugh as much as possible. Every time he laughed I felt my heart thumping really quickly, and I realised his laughter warmed my heart. I guess you could say Harry was my 'happy pill'.
"Hey, Haz," I breathed, trying to catch my breath from laughing too much. "I gotta go. We'll call again tomorrow?"
"Sure, Lou. See you, love."
I blushed. "Bye."
After I hung up, I walked down the steps of my apartment and headed to the nearest cafe. More assignments were piling up and I needed the energy to stay up tonight.
I was too focused on jogging down the steps that I didn't realise someone was coming up, and before I could stop myself, we bumped into each other.
"Oops!" I cried out. "Sorry, so sorry!"
"It's okay. Have a nice day."
He flashed me a dimpled smile and I smiled back. His curls were slightly messed up by the wind, but I guess it looked good on him.
"You too." I nodded my head and walked out of the building. For some reason, his voice sounded familiar, but I didn't think too much of it. I needed coffee.
Coffee, coffee, coffee.
