"She couldn't stop worrying," My heart softened at the sound of my mother's laughter. I smiled. "She's so nervous about her wedding!"
"I'm excited for her." I answered sincerely.
I literally cheered out loud the moment I received the news about Lottie getting married. Deep down inside, I was hoping she'd get married soon, and my dream finally came true. I was happy.
Really, really happy for her.
"Where is she now?" I asked.
"She's out shopping with the kids. She said she needed a distraction."
I rolled my eyes. "Isn't it too late for that? Her wedding's in two days, mum."
"I'm sure she'll be alright, honey. It's Lottie after all."
After another few minutes of chatting with her on the phone, I hung up with a relieved on my face.
I can't wait to see my family again.
After putting on my shoes, I left the apartment to look for a florist. Lottie loved flowers, so I figured it would be a great idea to buy some for her wedding day.
"Welcome!" A young boy greeted me with a dimpled smile, and I instantly recognised him.
"Hey, you're... the guy I bumped into the other day."
He smiled. "Yeah, I remember you."
I shook my head in disbelief and started looking around. The flowers sold here were very pretty. I had a little bit of trouble looking for the perfect ones for my sister.
"Need any help?" The same boy appeared next to me. I chuckled nervously and nodded my head. This was embarrassing.
"I'm looking for flowers suitable for a wedding," I told him and he nodded his head in acknowledgement. "It's my sister's wedding, you see."
"Ah," His deep voice echoed the small shop, and it sent shivers down my spine. In a good way, of course. "Then these white roses should be the one. White roses represent new beginnings, or even a new life. It's perfect for weddings too."
I blinked. "You know quite a lot, don't you?"
He shrugged his shoulders and flashed me a side smile.
When I went home, I placed the roses in a suitable vase and laid down on the couch. It was a lazy Sunday, and I couldn't find anything else to do. I was getting bored.
My phone rang.
"Lou Lou!" Harry chirped.
"You seemed to be in a good mood," I chuckled. "What happened?"
"I met someone today. He was so pretty."
I raised my eyebrows. "He? Pretty?"
"Yeah, pretty. He's really pretty," Then his voice dropped. "No... I forgot to ask for his name, and number."
"Harry, that would be creepy." I rolled my eyes.
"I wish I could see him again. He was nice."
"I'm sure you will, Haz. I'm sure you will."
Harry became silent for a moment and it made me worry a little. I was about to call out to him before he started to speak again. I sighed.
"Hey, Lou?"
"Hmm?"
"Will I have the chance to meet you one day?"
