😋Chapter Thirty Two😋

"Huh?"

"Let's go out", he repeated.

"Right now?"

He nodded.
Why??, It was like, three hours left before our Christmas Eve would start. And he wanted us to leave?

"Um... sure. Lemme just grab my bag", I dragged, a little bit taken aback by his request  and he nodded.

"Two Cappuccino's, double shots and two burgers please", He ordered and the waiter bowed politely before walking towards the counter.

I turned my gaze to Carl and narrowed my eyes at him.

"This should be our first date"

He smiled. "Yeah"

"But.....why a date, and suddenly when we're a few hours from sitting with Mom and Dad in the living room, eating ice cream and watching 'Home alone'"

He shrugged, "I felt it should just be the both of us before tonight."

I nodded slowly and rested my chin on my palm. "You scared you'll lose to the deal?", I teased, earning a scoff from him.

"No way", he denied.

"Whatever", I smirked.

"Here's your order", the waiter announced as he dropped the tray and placed our orders on our table. "Enjoy", he said with a small smile before leaving.

I licked my lips as my eyes slowly ravaged the food. I paused, feeling Carl's muteness quite weird.

I stole a glance at him and my heart skipped a bit when I caught him staring at me.

"What's....what's wrong?", I gulped.

He didn't answer. He just kept staring.

"Carl?"

"Sugar?", He mimicked and I scoffed.

"Stop looking at me like that", I whined and he laughed.
"Why should I?"

"Cause it makes me uncomfortable"

"Why should it?, I'm your boyfriend, I can look at you anytime I want". I cleared my throat nervously.

"Um...t-true....", I stuttered and earned a Chuckle from him. "Did I ever tell you.....you look cute when you're fluttered?", He smirked.

He's teasing me!

"N-no", I muttered.

"Well you do", he replied almost immediately.

A smile made it's way to my lips. "I'm cute...?", He nodded.

"Well that's new", I teased as he gave me a small laugh.

"Let's dig in", he said and I nodded.

"Sure.", I was starved anyway.

"Look who we ran into". Carl and I both turned to see Tony, Kate and April approaching us. "Hey", Carl greeted and Tony replied with a fist bump and the rest with a nod and a smile.

"You guys not getting ready for tonight?", I rose a brow and Kate shrugged. "My mom said I should go have fun. She's planning our amazing night herself"

"And my parents are kind of a pain in the ass", April added and I gave her a small smile. "So they won't spend time with you tonight?", I asked, feeling a little sad for her.

I mean, it was Christmas.

"It's fine", she smiled.

"Well, now we're here together, shall we have fun?", Tony chirped.
