"Ugh, why do you keep dropping bombs like this Gabriel?"

Zaphkiel said while holding his head at the thought of a world crisis. He wishes their senior would be more subtle at news like this instead of dropping it like a bomb.

Gabriel looked at him with an equally annoyed expression. And no, she's not annoyed at Zaphkiel but at the shitty otaku living in the sky.

"Thanks to that irresponsible god who likes to do things in the last minute, we have clean up the mess also in the last minute."

"Just say you were lazy to tell us earli- uwaaaa!"

"Shut up Michael. Do you want to have some last minute training? Don't worry, it will be easy. You'll just have to dodge or block all of my arrows."

"That's impossible!!! Those arrows surpasses the speed of sound, you know?! Even an elite swordman can't do that!"

To the two children (remember Gabriel is in her child form) who were playing in the sky, Zaphkiel admonished them like the big brother figure he was. He was the oldest in the group, on the age of 124 with Michael and Gabriel being 13 and 15 respectively.

"Gabriel, stop that or the people below will notice us."

"....hn. Fine. But don't think your safe from my training."

Towards the dangerous glint in Gabriel's eyes that promised pain, Michael cried pitifully while saying 'you damn sadist!' in his heart. But he had no choice because he has to raise his specs that meets his sister's ridiculously high standard. And yes, they started treating each other as their siblings. The three of them looked happy at the prospect but Michael sulked a little because he was the youngest.

Gabriel put her stoic face on again and turned to his brother Zaphkiel who was in deep thought.

"How is it, Zaphkiel?"

"Based on my skill Wisdom, if it comes to magic then its going to be either an elf or dryad. That's if the culprit or culprits are residents of Marchen Faer."

"A third party?"

"Yes. It can be anything but the our top three candidates are demon, elf and human. The dryads are guardians of nature and hates conflict so they are out of the question."

"Humans can do those kind of magic?!"

Michael asked in surprise. Humans generally can't use world scale magic because of their smaller mana capacity but those with huge mana capacity might be able to if they number around a 100 or something. World scale magics use about 100000 mana and above and humans are limited to 1000 MP. Their average MP are 300 or something so humans with MP of 1000 are less than 10.

"Then isn't it impossible for humans?"

Michael said with a frown. He was a former human so he may have lingering attachments towards his former race.

"Well. It may be impossible if they didn't team up with either the elves or demons."

Zaphkiel answered back. Elves are extremely prideful, with the exception of Zaphkiel who was only moderately prideful, but they will do anything to protect Marchen Faer. Demons on the other hand are necessarily not evil but are hunted and despised by humans because of their "evil" features like horns.

"Muu... in the end its hard because it can be any human, it even may be a kingdom supporting a secret research. Some elves have also delved into forbidden practices and demons may be doing it for revenge."

"It can be anyone, huh?"

Gabriel and Zaphkiel let out a sound of displeasure at the dead end they were facing in their investigation. Only Michael remained thinking on how to find the culprits.

"Then how about a bait?"

"Bait?"

Two heads turned to him simultaneously. Michael sweated slightly at the intense gaze but continued explaining.

"You said they were stealing magic from the sun and the moon, right? That would have required years of research."

"Now that you say it...they must be still researching. They only started about a year ago after all. Study of celestial bodies can take for decades."

"Right. Then they must be looking for someone or something with knowledge about the sun and moon."

The two angels who were murmuring in defeat earlier started to brighten up and stared at Michael with amazement.

"Good job Michael. I didn't expect that from you."

"I didn't even know you could think of a plan like that."

"You two are so mean!!!"

After a while of Michael shouting insults at his siblings with grinded teeth, thay finally calmed down and started to make the plan.

"But who will be the bait? Someone who looks like they know the secrets of the celestial bodies, then normally it would be some kind of divine being or deity."

"...isn't that us?"

Gabriel said while looking at the group. Three ethereally beautiful people emitting a divine aura. They fit the criteria. The messenger and bookkeeper look at each other with knowing eyes and turned to their little brother simultaneously.

"You will be the bait."

They declared it with a tone 'its decided!'. Michael immediately protested.

"Why will I be the bait?"

"Because your the youngest."

They replied in their usual cool calm collected manner but their childish reasoning betrayed their expressions. Just as Michael was about to protest, his sister cut in with a scary look that doesn't fit a child at all.

"Your the one who suggested it so your the one who's going to do it."

"Uwaaah why are you so always unreasonable?"

As Michael cried in despair at being the bait forced on him by the scary angel, the other two further discussed the plan.

"Zaphkiel, calculate the possible locations where it is being held and pin it on a mental map then send the image through telepathy."

"...its done."

As expected of of him, only needing a mere second to what I said.

"Hmm there are a lot, huh? We'll have to split up."

"But there are werebeast here that have superior senses so we will definitely get caught if we walk around here."

There are about 20 places to check and all of them are far from each other. And in the forest, there are patrol units with werebeast specialized in tracking. The three angels are not specialized in stealth either. Gabriel who realized that sighed in a 'can't be helped' manner.

"I'll make an artifact that can hide our presence but it will take days. Meanwhile, you two here are some books about celestial bodies. If we want to make the act convincing then we better know about the sun and the moon."

She said as she gave them books about the sun, moon, stars, constellations etc. The angel of wisdom brightened up the sight of new books that he could read and immediately stored them in his dimensional pocket.

"And also, you two better train properly. If I came back to find out you two just slacked off..."

The threat was left hanging in the air but the two males know that only hellish punishment awaits them. They nod in unison and dare not disobey her. She looked satisfied at their answer and quickly took off to steal a blacksmith shop all by herself again. She'll just have to knock out the owner and reward him with a diamond.

The two males who were left behind with a death threat just stared at their sister's retreating back with a twitching face.

"She's such a demon."

Was their united feeling.
