And after a week full of hardwork, the three of them had finally started the plan. Its quite simple.
They will bait them with a flower called Rumal which contains the essence of the sun. Its a flower which is only seen when a single drop of sun essence falls into the earth and grows into a flower. It was last seen 900 years ago and countless powers fought for its miraculous healing power.
But we can easily acquire it thanks to Zapkiel's skill All Book and managed to replicate the golden sun flower. We set it on the middle of a shallow pond in an inconspicious place. By the way, the pond was also from All Book-sama. Hail All Book-sama!. Because of him/her things became easier. If we use magic here, the dryads would have found us.
Then we position Michael like a guardian and got him to practice some divine-like lines which I winced at. And so the bait was set.
"Why are you so sure that they will come here Zaphkiel?"
The angel of wisdom responded to Michael's question with a sure tone.
"In the first place, to control the magic of celestial bodies to a certain extent you need to have some kind of unique skill or divine artifact. The skill or artifact would then connect them to easiest and nearest place where they could gather the magic. The moon is closer and easier to connect to but the sun....they will have to connect to a spot without damaging their body from the intense heat and radiation. Calculations say that there is 100% possibilty that they gather it from the sunspots."
Sunspots are colder than the rest of the sun's surface hence their dark color. They would certainly be safe if they connect to that place.
"And now the nearest place to get that magic is this flower."
Gabriel added. They would wait here for a week and if they won't arrive then they will just make another plan. And if she finds those bastards who keep siphoning the magic from the sun and moon for their own greedy agendas....
"If I find those people, I'm going to turn them to mince meat."
"Wait big sis! What if they are using it for good purposes? Then isn't it wrong to punish them?"
Michael asked her with a stiff expression. He wanted to stay away from her murderous thoughts but he has no choice because there is something he must adress.
The other two turned to him with a blank expression that says 'are you an idiot?'. Michael desperately wanted to insult them but stopped himself and just settled on a twitching eye.
Gabriel started to talk with an exasperated tone like lecturing someone who lives in a cave for all his life.
"Didn't you read the books about the magic of the celestial bodies? Neah mantains its equilibrium by the energy it gets from the sun and moon. The sun provides yang energy while the moon provides the yin energy. With those two energy or magic, the planet balances itself. Neither black nor white but the purest magic. If that balance is broken then this planet is over."
Zaphkiel pitched in his two cents worth.
"Even all of the living beings including us and the God Deus are made of this type of energy or magic. But the ratio between those two energies inside a body differs. For example, a woman has more yin magic than yang magic then she is more inined to practice black magic. Our bodies will not be affected with the broken balance but those who will yet to be born will have some kind of deformity because of the sudden catastrophe."
"M-my head hurts after those explanations but I get that this really needs to be stopped."
He said while clutching his head in pain. It seems his brain can't cope with the extra detailed lecture.
*RUMBLE*
"!!!"
"Wha-"
Just then, a sudden earthquake appeared. It was not strong enough to produce calamities but just a mere rumble that anyone would dismiss its harmlessness. But the angels knew the truth.
"...its starting."
"The balance has become slightly impaired. This is troubling indeed."
"Oi oi. What are you saying Zaphkiel? This is not just troubling."
They said with narrowed eyes and disturbed faces. Somewhere in their very fiber they could feel the balance slightly broken. Neah had somewhat deviated from its axis and the three could feel the erratic magic under the ground. It made them restless and their hearts tightened in anxiousness.
Ever since they became angels, they are more connected to Neah and can feel the flow of magic in its core.
"....you two, this mission must absolutely not fail."
About a day passed and they could detect 4 presences coming here in highspeed.
"Hmmm. How impressive. It only took them 22 hours 38 minutes and 57 seconds to detect the plant. I thought it would take them 2-3 days considering we are on the border of Marchen Faer."
"...it seems that they have some elites. How exciting."
"You two, why are you praising the enemy?!"
Michael said such tsukkomi to his siblings who praised their enemies. 'Mind you this enemies is causing a world crisis!' his heart was saying exactly that.
Look! Gabriel is already preparing for battle with a bloodthirsty glint in her eyes. I thought she was the stoic character?! (Its the otaku soul inside her burning for a real fight.)
And Zaphkiel please stop that black aura of yours! Please don't be angry if elves shows up!
The two quickly activated their ultimate stealth artifact that Gabriel made. A small brooch pinned on their clothes Al Silento. Assassins and spies all over the world would fight just over this small god-class artifact. Their figures disappeared and Michael was left there.
Let's start the confrontation.
