Fall For You

Chapter 23

Niall would have been coming to see you today. You skipped a full week of school, and didn’t do anything but your missing school work while you sat at home. You never thought you could be this heartbroken. You regretted saying everything you had said to Niall, but you knew you couldn’t take them back, and you knew you couldn’t have him back. You and Niall had spoken a couple times in the last week, but only to fight and end up in the same place you were before. The separation was killing you. You knew you would probably never see Niall again.

He hadn’t tweeted at all this week. The boys had a couple tweets, but just thanking the fans. All questions about Niall had gone unanswered. You hadn’t tweeted either. It was pointless. You knew what you wanted, and you knew what you had lost.

You missed Danielle and Eleanor too. You were too ashamed to call them though. They had made it through years of dating the boys, months of separation. You just weren’t strong enough.

As you started to shed probably your millionth tear, you heard something. Was it guitar? You almost expected it to be a One Direction song.

It wasn’t.

Suddenly, a voice started to sing.

“Best thing about tonight is we’re not fighting. Could it be that we have been this way before?”

You knew that song.

“I know you don’t think that I am trying, I know you’re wearing thin down to the core.”

It was one of your favorites. A love song about imperfect love.  You knew that voice too.

“But hold your breath, because tonight will be the night that I will fall for you, over again”

Only one person’s voice sounded that beautiful.  You silently started to sing along to the next line,

“Don’t make me change my mind.”

But the singer had changed the line, and sang,

“I’ll never change my mind.”

You walked out on your balcony and saw him standing below, guitar in hand.

“I wont live to see another day, I swear its true.”

His irish accent came through on “swear its true”.

“Because a girl like you is impossible to find, you’re impossible to find”

Running back into your bedroom and out the door, you ran to the front yard and found Niall there, still singing. You ran, full speed to him, and as he sang

“This is not what I intended, I always swore to you I’d never fall apart” you cut him off, kissing him. He slung his guitar around his back, putting his arms around your waist. He pulled away for a second, to tell you he loved you, and continued kissing you. Soon, the other boys appeared, along with Ally, and clapped. Liam put his arm around you, telling you that he knew you and Niall couldn’t be separated. He saw the love in your eyes. You promised Niall that you would be okay with being apart from him, as long as you were always in his heart. He kissed you, and finished the song, with harmonies from the boys. Harry had his arm wrapped around Ally’s waist and pulled her in for a quick kiss. Once the song was over, Niall formally invited you to come meet his family, in Mullingar, tomorrow.

You said yes.
