And so during the summer the group tried to get over their losses. Although there weren't as many as originally thought. Klaus came and went not killing Jenna and Elijahs elixir worked wonders to save dear Elena's life. Thus making it so the young Bennett witch had no need for her spell which used John Gilbert as a sacrifice and the latest doppelgänger still had one parent left.
But Klaus did take something when he left. Not a physical being or object. But he took a life.
That of the youngest Gilbert, Jeremy. He turned the doppelgängers adoptive brother into a vampire in the event that Jenna did manage to escape his wrath. And escape she did.
So that summer left friends grieving, family lost and fractured but never broken for this was a hard family to crack and a guardian watching and laughing.
The tricks he played would forever amuse him to no end as he lived his life the way he had done before his father sent him to Mystic Falls damned to live a mortals life.
But soon he would go back. But not as Jeremy Gilbert as they would all assume.
