Elijah POV
"So how exactly do you plan on saving Elena?" Asked the elder Salvatore who has the ability to grate on anyone and everyone's nerves, but he can also be useful. I chuckled as I thought about what his reaction to what I had that would save Elena's life.
"With this" And I pulled out a box which I had held dear for over 1000 years. They all looked at it in confusion and it was understandable as to why. Just looking at the box brought back lots of memories, both pleasant and unpleasant.
-FLASHBACK-
I was 12 years old. My younger siblings and I watched as father started teaching Finn to wield a sword. He was slow at learning, mainly due to father being impatient with him and not giving him time to properly learn. I was soaking everything up that I could as I knew that in a few short years it would be in Finn's position.
"Stop fooling around!!!" Shouted Mikael once again getting impatient with Finn. He went to charge at him with his sword, like Finn would be able to properly defend himself, when a man mysteriously appeared infront of Finn and started blocking all of Mikaels attacks.
The strange new man was laughing at Mikael's growing rage as we children watched with fascination and curiousity. I saw Niklaus and Kol looking at him with awe and I have to admit I was as well. "Who's that man fighting your father?" Asked mother but non of us responded as we knew not how to respond. In the blink of an eye father was gone from standing on his feet to laying on the floor with the tip of his own sword at his throat.
"Alright let me up you ungrateful brat" said Mikael as the stranger helped him to his feet.
"Mikael, Who's your friend?" Asked Ester as she took a few steps closer to our father and the man who seemed only a few years older than Finn.
"Children, meet your Uncle Jeremiah"
-PRESENT-
I saw Elena looking at the small box curiously so I handed it to her knowing she couldn't destroy what's inside wheather she tried or not. She took the box with caution before slowly lifting the lid only to look at what was inside it with disbelief.
"How is this suppose to save my life?" She asked as she took from the box a pure white feather that looked freshly plucked from a large bird from the size of it.
"Okay so What's it do? Tickle anyone who tries to harm the beholder?" Said Damon in a highly sarcastic voice mixed with disbelief. I smirked at his oh so expected reaction as I took the feather from the latest doppelgänger.
"This you see is a very speacial feather with very mystical properties" I began as I walked down the stairs in the library towards the fire place. "It calls to the person it came from as a pull which they cannot resist" I said as I reached the fire place, leaning against the shelf directly above it.
"Oh really So the person it supposedly came from is now on their way here to protect Elena?" Asked Damin still in disbelief. I looked at Damon and nodded to him before throwing the feather into the fire. You could hear the gasps around the room as the fire grew larger and took up a grey colour, the only reason it wasn't white was because of the smoke.
"So what happens now?" Asked Caroline from her place on the couch infront of the fire place. Her eyes were looking into the fire as she watched the whiteness burn out.
"We wait"
