Elena POV

"So all the Mikaelsons are awake?" Nodd. "And the original witch, their mother Ester is now alive?" Another nodd. "Oh joy" I replied with sarcasm channelling my inner Damon, although he probably would have come up with something wittier to say.

"Yeah and now they're having a ball, a stupid ball, I mean who actually does that?!!" Asked Caroline in a disbelieving tone. I get where she's coming from I mean if it was maybe like 200 years ago it would make more sense to hold a ball but it's the 21st century they need to get with the times.

"I know trust me, it's like they can't get over the fact they don't live in the 11th century's or whatever anymore" I Said to Caroline as we carried on walking in the school halls after classes but before Caroline went for cheer practice.

"Well we can talk later I need to go for practice, we can go visit Jer if you want?" She asked and I smiled sadly before nodding. Caroline gave me a hug for comfort which I gladly excepted. "I'll text Jenna to meet us there" she said before she smiled and walked away. I started meandering towards the bleachers outside to watch them practice as well as the football team. But Rebekah for some reason made an appearance.

"So I heard from a certain hybrid that Nik killed your brother in the sacrifice" she stated and I glared at her, god dammit Tyler learn to keep your mouth shut. "Sorry for that no one should have to lose their brother, it never gets easier just to let you know" she said without any ounce of sympathy and I just glared at her back as she sashayed over to the cheerleaders.

Bitch.

-TIMESKIP-

We'd gone to visit Jeremy. Me, Caroline, Bonnie, Jenna and Matt who caught up with us after football practice. Now we were heading for the Grill. There was still a leaflet in the notice board about Jer's funeral, god why couldn't they take it down. I was about the go over when I saw 2 of the originals walking past it and the male, Kol, stopped to look at it. Rebekah seemed to notice what he was looking at and for some odd reason seemed shocked.

I went over to the bar to order some drinks for everyone whilst they got a table and ordered food. When I felt 2 people go at either side of me.

"So your brother, aye?" Said Kol with mischief lacing his words. I glared at him with clear distaste but that didn't stop him from smirking at me, like he knew something I didn't. "We had an uncle you know, they look a lot alike almost like they could be doppelgängers" he said before he and Rebekah picked up a drink each I didn't know they ordered and walked away.

"Elena, you okay?" Asked Damon who cane over, Ric was with him. I shook my head quickly hurrying out of the establishment and heading to my car, which Jenna had the keys to. When I realised this I just hit the car and broke down crying. Why did they have to do that?

I was crying sobbing and I saw Damon come over followed by everyone else, except Stefan for obvious reasons, and crowd around me. I felt Jenna wrap her arms around me stroking my hair shushing me to calm me down. Having family hold me helped, I knew I wasn't alone.

"It's okay Elena it's alrigjt" she said and I nodded my head as I finally got myself under control, sort of. "What happened what did they say?"

"They said Jeremy looked exactly like an uncle they had, like he was a doppelgänger" I sobbed but didn't cry again. Everyone seemed either annoyed or pissed off, or both except Damon who seemed confused. I gave him a questioning look to which he replied.

"If they had an uncle, wouldn't they make him a vampire as well?"

Unknown POV

"Son, you are the worst angel I've ever met" I told the oldest angel in heaven. He simply snorted and went back to watching the humans playing some weird sport with a pig, or was it pig skin he said I can't really remember.

"Well maybe before you made us angels you should have gotten an instruction manual" he said in all that sass he picked up as his time pretending to be human. It was true he was my first angel that I made and didn't turn out quite as expected and I had to make some adjustments before I made more. He wasn't that holy, innocent being you'd think he was more of a adrenaline junky with an alcohol problem, oh and a womaniser too don't forget that.

"Well maybe I should send you back to Earth, I have a new job for you" I told him and he seemed annoyed.

"You mean besides sitting on my ass all day, mmm I don't know this jobs pretty taxing I don't think anyone else could do it" he said and god why did I send him to Earth he's only gotten more sarcastic ever since.

"Yes I've given you an area to protect it's got high amounts of vampire activity and we all know you have a lot of experience in that department" I Said and he nodded his headed putting down the popcorn (when did he get that?) and straightening out, his wings cracking as he did so.

"Alright old man where to?" He asked as he prepared to fly to his destination. I smirked before I replied, served him right for being so sarcastic.

"Mystic Falls"

"You fucking asshole!!"
