Chapter 25: Cats In The Cradle

Kol POV 

"No" I Said disbelieving. "No he has to wake up, why, why wouldn't he he's strong enough?" I Said in a light tone almost a whisper. 

"He May do someday but it would take a long time. He was weak already after what Satan did and having his power drawn from by Henrik weakened him further and then add you to the mix he couldn't take it" Shouted God angrily. "You think I wanted to do this to him?!! No you saw what he asked of me and I will always uphold my promises to my children" he smfinsubed red in the face from anger. 

"Henrik?" Asked Rebekah and we all stopped. "You Just Said Henrik, as in our Henrik? Our little brother?" She asked in a small yet hopeful voice. God looked down but nodded his head slightly. 

"He's been an angel for the past 1000 years, he's been protecting you swaying anything events so you would t get hurt, he's been too scared to approach you though" Said God in a low voice. "I'll speak to him ask him if he'll consider seeing you all again"

"No need" Said a British voice, one of a fairly young teen, maybe 14 years old. "I've missed you all, very dearly" he said and I gasped. 

"Henrik?" Asked Klaus And you could hear his voice waver. The boy nodded and all us Mikaelsons rushed forward to hug him. "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry" Said Klaus as we all cried. 

"No need brother, what happened was my fault, you should t have blamed yourself" Said Henrik and then I realised, Uncle Jer must have spoken to God about protecting us before what happened to Henrik. And then a thought occurred to me. 

"When Uncle Jer asked you to protect us he said Nieces as in plural, what did he mean?" I asked God and I heard Finn choke on air. "You know what he meant?" 

"Freya, our elder sister. She was taken by our Aunt Daliah when she was 5 years old, our father was told she died due to plague and so were you" said Finn and God nodded in agreement. "Is she alright?" He asked God who nodded smiling. 

"She was put under a spell by Daliah that made her sleep for a century and then she was awake for a year" said God as he smiled softly barely at all in a reminiscing way. "But when she was pregnant she killed herself so Daliah couldn't use her child, I used that time to free her from the spell and now she's just immortal, I'll bring her too you" He said before snapping his fingers on both hands and a women, around Finns age appeared and she seemed confused. 

"What's happening? Who are you people?" She asked confused beifrebher eyes landed on God. "Why did you bring me here?"

"To meet your family" he said waving a hand in our direction. "But before anymore distractions Kol we need to talk more" he said so I nodded as we all turned our attention to God. "Your uncle did the jobs I felt I couldn't ask the other angels to do, I want you to now take his place" he said. 

"Nowt like getting to the point" I Said shocked. "Sure" I Said. I mean I guess it's important since the first angel ever created did that job. 

"Great you'll be working alongside Henrik to get the job done" he said before a basket filled with keys appeared in his hand. "Everyone take a key please" he said handing a key to each of us. "Now the grounds where the battle took place is now yours" he said looking at us all. "Take care of it and make sure it is well guarded" he said seriously in a threatening tone. 

"Why? I mean if only Kol and Henrik will be there, I'm sure they can take care of themselves" Said Freya to which God smirked. 

"Because that ground is holy so I'm sure it will be a good resting place for your uncle to recharge" he said before clicking his fingers and disappearing. 

"So, where is that house exactly?" Asked Damon. 

"You've been there" pointed out Stefan. 

"Yeah but I know remember where it is"he said. 

"Well I gues we better get compelling" Said Klaus with a smirk. "And Kol Do our sister Freya a favour and pick up her things from wherever she was staying" he said before he started to leave. 

"Where are you going?" Asked Rebekah indignantly. 

"To Get our Uncle Jer a coffin to stay in uncle he wakes up" he said. "Now chop-chop no brother of mine will live in a house filled will dust" he said befirenleaving making us all roll our eyes. 

-TIMESKIP- 

"So why this room for Uncle Jer?" Asked Rebekah. We were in a large room in the converted loft. 

"Well because it's out of the way and only one door and a few windows so Freya can easily seal it so nobody can get in" Said Klaus. "Now you angels do what you must, we brothers and sister have a house to get refurbished" he finished leaving me, Henrik, Freya, Elena, Caroline and Jenna in the small loft room. 

"I just thought maybe we could say goodbye, in case I never see him again" Said Elena so we nodded. She said her goodbyes before leaving a few letters, probably from the humans, inside the coffin before leaving the room. Jenna left a picture of her, Elena, Jeremiah when he was Jeremy, Miranda and Greyson with him befornshe too left. Caroline put some flowers on his chest to put on top of the coffin when we close it. 

"Say what you need, I'll wait outside" Said Freya. Me and Henrik shared a look before we moved closer to the coffin. 

"I'll miss working with you" Said Henrik before he left. That left just me. 

"I hope I do you proud Uncle" I Said before I closed the coffin. 

And then he was alone. Laid in a coffin until he awoke. When that would be, nobody knows.
