Epilogue

“Mommy! Liv pinched me on my bummy!” Jordan comes running to me complaining about his twin sister, as always.

“Mommy! He stole my last cookie!” and here she comes to defend herself.

“I borrowed it!” he yells at her and she gives him an annoyed look crossing her arms.

“When will you two stop fighting?” I chuckle and both of them run into the backyard to play. I bet after five minutes one of them is going come running to complain about the other.

As you’ve already guessed, Jordan and Olivia are my two babies. They are almost six now. Time really does fly fast. I had them when I was twenty nine, these two kids are the best thing that ever happened to me. Now for the fun part, we didn’t actually know I was expecting twins until the last month of my pregnancy. Yeah, he got mad.. he would’ve sued the doctor if I wouldn’t stop him. He was not pissed because now we were going to have an extra surprise baby, but because he had only one room ready and he bought toys and clothes only enough for one baby. His first words to the doctor on hearing this news was, and I quote, “Now my baby girl will have to wear her brother’s clothes until we get enough time to buy some for her. Thank you for nothing!” and he stormed out of the doctor’s office.

It was actually a bit shocking, I mean, how can, you not know there are two babies in there.

“Hey babe, what are the little devils up to today?” he asks putting his arms around my waist. Pulling me close to his chest. My back is firmly pressed against his chest and his chin is resting on my shoulder.

“Liv pinched Jordy’s bummy because he borrowed her last cookie.” I say and he starts laughing. The sound of his laugh makes me smile. He suddenly turns me around and pulls me closer to him. “Would you complain about me if I pinch your bummy?” he asks arching an eyebrow and pinching my butt.

“Ahh!” I gasp and I hear someone laughing. Justin quickly lets me go and clears his throat. “Hey kiddos” he says scratching the back of his head.

“Hi daddy.” Both of them say together wiggling their eyebrows, which makes all of us laugh.

“Um, anyway, Honey, Donna called... they are getting married soon. She wanted to invite us to their engagement ceremony.” He says with a wide smile.

“Oh my god! I’ll call her and talk to her later. I am so happy for them.” I squeal.

“Yeah, I am too.” He says and kisses my forehead. “Come on kids, who wants to play a game of hide and seek?” and both of them start screaming ‘Me, me’ and run outside following Justin.

It’s almost been seventeen years since I last saw Ron. Prom night was the last night I saw him. He tried calling and texting me but I didn’t respond. I knew I had to break this circle of breaking up and getting back together. Soon after high school ended we all went to different college. I and Justin went to Brown. Alex took the year off to figure stuffs out and explore and then exploring became her life. Now she works as an international tour guide. Donna went to NYU with Eric and well now they are getting married. Susan shifted to Australia after she broke up with Justin after prom. Someone told her that they saw Justin ‘cheating’ on her with me. She went all bat crap crazy over me and him and well.... you can guess the rest.

I didn’t know Justin applied for Brown too, I met him on the first day of college and he was in each and every class of mine. Crazy, I know. We became best buddies, helped each other with relationship problems and by the end of college we fell in love with each other.

Then one day he proposed and I said yes. We got married and here we are now living happily with our two babies.

My parents handed over the business to me and Justin after we got married and moved to Miami to enjoy the rest of their life. I almost barfed when my mother said that to me. Now they are probably enjoying the sun and sucking each other’s faces off. Oh god, I need to get that image out of my head.

“MUMMY! LIV PUT HER FINGER UP IN MY NOSE! AND DADDY LAUGHED!” Jordan came screaming inside and wrapped his tiny hands around my leg.

“I didn’t do it on purpose!” I heard Liv as she came running towards me and wrapped her hands around my other leg.

I looked over and saw Justin trying really hard not to laugh. “Is it true Justin, did she shove her finger up his nose?” he just shrugs in response and bursts out laughing. Moments after the twins start laughing and I join them too.

After all the ups and downs, all the screaming and yelling, all the misunderstanding, all the heartbreaks I guess I got what I longed for. A loving husband, two beautiful babies and everything else I would ever want.

He changed my life, the Heartbreaker helped me get what I deserved. I don’t know where he is or what he is doing, but I wish him well. After all if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have been with Justin now and my life would be completely different. But I love it the way it is. And I wouldn’t change a bit of it if I could.
