Dark clouds had blanketed the sky since morning, turning the day into a bleak gray haze. The rain had been steady, relentless, for hours, and you'd quietly hoped it might stop by noon. But as the day dragged on, it became clear the rain had no intention of easing. The downpour created small rivers along the roads, forming puddles that quickly grew into miniature lakes on the sidewalks. The wind howled through the streets, whipping the rain in all directions, but none of this seemed to matter to you.

The gray, dismal world outside was nothing compared to the emptiness you felt inside. The heavy rainfall soaked through your clothes, but the cold didn't bother you. The wetness against your skin went unnoticed, overshadowed by the weight of your emotions. Tears flowed freely from your eyes, but no one walking by would ever know. The rain disguised your sorrow, and for that, you were grateful.

You didn't know where you were going. You had no real destination in mind. You just walked, your legs carrying you through unfamiliar streets, not caring if you were lost. The events of the last twenty-four hours played on repeat in your head, a cycle of confusion, hurt, and disbelief. All Might... Toshinori Yagi... had rejected you, and the memory of it still stung like a fresh wound. You could still hear his voice echoing in your ears, the words that crushed the small sliver of hope you had carried for so long.

In the distance, you saw a park entrance, its gate slightly ajar, and without much thought, you turned in that direction. The rain had pooled into small rivers running alongside the pavement, and the water in your shoes sloshed with each step. Your clothes clung to you, heavy and soaked, but you didn't care. Your mind was a storm of its own, and the physical discomfort meant nothing compared to what you felt inside.

The park was deserted—of course it was. No one in their right mind would be out in weather like this, but maybe that's why you found comfort in it. No one would bother you, ask you what was wrong, or offer empty words of sympathy. You could be alone with your thoughts, with the rain, and with the lingering ache in your chest.

As you continued walking, you found yourself drawn to a small playground at the end of the path. The equipment was old, rusted, and clearly neglected, but it didn't matter. A swing set stood in the middle, its chains rattling slightly in the wind. You headed toward it, the playground muddy and waterlogged, but you didn't care. You sat down on one of the swings, ignoring the icy cold water that instantly soaked through your pants.

The swing creaked as you moved, the chains swaying slightly in the wind. You stared down at the puddle beneath your feet, watching as the rain disturbed the water's surface. Your thoughts felt as jumbled as pieces of a puzzle that didn't fit together. Fragments of memories, moments, and feelings all floated around in your mind, but nothing made sense.

You had always admired All Might, looked up to him, and trusted him. He had been your mentor, your hero, the one who inspired you to be better, to push beyond your limits. But over time, those feelings had deepened, changed. And today, you had confessed—unintentionally, but you had confessed. The words had just spilled out, and the instant they left your lips, you knew it was a mistake.

He had rejected you.

Tears fell freely from your eyes, but they mixed with the rain, becoming indistinguishable. You were grateful for the storm—at least no one would see you crying. You gripped the chains of the swing, the cold metal biting into your hands, and you let the tears fall without trying to stop them.

How long had you been sitting here? You weren't sure. Time seemed irrelevant in the stormy haze. Hours could have passed, or maybe just minutes. It didn't matter. All that mattered was the weight in your chest and the swirling storm in your head.
