As soon as you pushed open the door, a blast of sunlight from the window on your right blinded you for a moment. You squinted, trying to adjust, and were about to respond to the two girls. But then, your voice froze in your throat.
There was... no one there.
You blinked and glanced around, thinking maybe they were hiding. But the bathroom was empty. Completely empty. Panic pricked at the back of your mind. What just happened?
Your eyes flicked to the window. Bright sunlight was streaming in now, way too bright. When you'd walked in here, the sky had been that soft orange-red, the sun low and setting. So why was it now so much higher in the sky?
"No way..." You muttered under your breath, slowly walking toward the window. You peered out, your heart picking up speed. Outside, a bunch of boys were playing football on the school grounds. It was the same scene you'd watched earlier that day during your last class, just waiting for the bell to ring and end the school day.
Then it hit you. One of the boys activated his Quirk mid-game, breaking their no-Quirks rule. You'd seen this exact thing before.
Oh crap.
You weren't in the present anymore.
A wave of disbelief washed over you. You'd done it again, hadn't you? It wasn't the first time, but it usually happened at home, never at school. And this was way more public. No wonder the girls were gone—they hadn't disappeared, you had. You weren't even sure how far you'd jumped this time.
You'd read about time jumps before. Warnings about time paradoxes, the danger of meeting yourself—stuff you didn't want to test out. The rules were vague, and honestly? You didn't want to mess around and find out the hard way.
Your eyes scanned the bathroom. Your things weren't there, because, well, technically, you hadn't even arrived yet. You were still in class. The lessons hadn't ended yet, which meant the hallways should still be empty. Quietly, you pushed open the bathroom door and peeked out. Clear.
You stepped out, taking a few cautious steps, but then froze. What if a teacher saw you? They'd definitely think you ditched class. You could try to explain the whole time-jumping thing, but that'd just make things worse. No way did you want anyone thinking you couldn't control your Quirk.
So, what now? Who do you even tell about this?
Only one name came to mind. All Might.
If anyone could help, it'd be him. But where would he be? The teacher's lounge? Probably not—everyone knew he wasn't easy to track down after classes. It was like he disappeared the second his teaching hours were over, hiding out somewhere no one could find him.
You tried to think. All Might was a mystery wrapped in muscle, and you knew next to nothing about his habits. But maybe... maybe it was time to use your Quirk intentionally. You'd never really controlled it before, but it was worth a shot. Closing your eyes, you pictured All Might in your mind—his tall silhouette, the familiar presence. Then, you let the image grow sharper, imagining him standing somewhere specific.
A rooftop. Metal fence, concrete beneath his feet, the wind in his hair.
Your eyes snapped open, and you couldn't help but smile. You knew where he was.
The roof.
You started down the hallway, moving quickly but quietly, when you froze mid-step. A tall figure was heading straight toward you—Present Mic.
Your heart lurched into your throat. Great. Of all the teachers to run into, it had to be the loudest one in the entire school.
But... wait. Present Mic wasn't walking like he normally did, all swagger and energy. He was... doing something. You squinted, trying to make sense of it. Was he... dancing?
