"Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

Toshinori's voice shot through the room, shaking you to your core. He sprang to his feet, nearly yelling, his powerful presence filling the space around you. His blue eyes, normally so kind and composed, were wide with a mix of disbelief and frustration. You knew this reaction was coming—it was entirely predictable. You'd expected it, but that didn't make it any easier to bear.

"Too much to tell..." you muttered under your breath, not wanting to dive into all the tangled thoughts racing through your head. You could feel a dull headache pulsing at your temples, and the mere thought of explaining everything made you feel even sicker.

Toshinori, despite his outburst, quickly regained some composure, his hands resting on his hips as he looked at you more carefully. His voice softened, though still tinged with frustration. "So... let me get this straight. To clean up this entire mess, you're saying you have to reset the timeline? And everything will just... go back to normal?"

You nodded, swallowing the lump forming in your throat. "Yes. But there's a problem." You paused, bracing yourself for what you were about to say. "If I do it, time will rewind to the moment everything started—before the two versions of me appeared. That would mean..." Your voice faltered as you looked into his eyes. "That this reality won't exist anymore. That's what the future-me said."

Toshinori's face changed instantly, his expression flickering from surprise to disappointment. You could see the weight of your words sink in. Of course, he understood the gravity of what you were saying. Resetting the timeline wasn't just a matter of reversing time—it meant erasing everything that had happened between now and then. It would all be forgotten.

"So, no one would remember..." he began, his voice trailing off. "Including us?"

You nodded again, the heaviness in your chest growing. The thought that every moment, every conversation, and every feeling you had shared with Toshinori would be wiped clean made your heart ache. You would forget the way he had smiled at you when you needed reassurance. You would forget how his concern for you went beyond that of a mentor. And you would forget the subtle shift in your connection—the one you had barely begun to understand.

Toshinori sighed deeply, running a hand through his blond hair. He began pacing the room, his fingers tapping against his temple as he tried to process what you were telling him. "That's... quite the price to pay," he said finally, his voice tinged with disappointment. It hurt to hear him say it like that, as if all those moments didn't matter as much to him as they did to you. But then, after a long silence, he added softly, "But... are you sure this is the only way?"

Your lips pressed into a thin line, and you nodded, though it was difficult to meet his gaze. "That's what she said." You paused, trying to hold back the sadness creeping into your voice. "Everything will reset. Even our memories."

Toshinori stopped pacing and turned to face you, arms crossed over his chest as his brow furrowed in thought. It was as if he was searching for some loophole, some way out of this impossible situation, but he seemed to come to the same conclusion you had. After a long moment, he let out a sigh, his shoulders slumping slightly.

"So... if that's the only way, then we don't have much of a choice." He met your eyes again, and despite the weight of his words, his voice was calm. "You have to do it."

You sighed quietly, giving him a slow nod. You had known this all along, but hearing him agree with you somehow made it feel more real. There was no way out of this.

"In that case," Toshinori continued, his tone suddenly shifting back to a more practical one, "if it's true that your power has this ability to reset time, we'll need to focus your training on that. When your cold is gone, we'll start fresh. No more running you ragged with physical conditioning. We'll concentrate on mastering your Quirk and testing its limitations."
