The room was colder than you expected.

As you stepped into the private training area, the metal walls seemed to radiate the chill back at you, creating a hollow silence that made every step you took feel louder than it should. The space was stark, bare of anything comforting or familiar, which wasn't surprising.

You spotted Aizawa immediately, standing in the center of the room, his posture as unreadable as ever. His arms were crossed over his chest, and his gaze fixed on you with that detached, emotionless stare he always had. He didn't bother with greetings, just a small tilt of his head as if to acknowledge you before cutting straight to business.

"You know why you're here," he said, his voice cold and steady.

You nodded, though your throat tightened slightly. The weight of what was coming next pressed heavily against your chest. This wasn't just any training session.

"This session will be different," Aizawa continued, taking a step forward, his dark eyes locked on yours. "I've heard you've been losing control of your Quirk too often. Your emotions are interfering, and that's dangerous. We need to fix it."

Your heart clenched at his words. It wasn't that you didn't know—how could you not? Each time you tapped into your Quirk, the fear, the memories, they surged to the surface, threatening to overwhelm you. You had been trying to keep them buried, to focus on the present, but Aizawa had always seen right through you.

"I'm in control," you muttered, but the edge in your voice betrayed your uncertainty.

Aizawa's gaze didn't waver. "Not enough. Not when it counts. You're letting your emotions guide you, and with a Quirk like yours, that's a risk no one can afford."

You stiffened. His words felt like a challenge, a direct blow to everything you'd been struggling with. "My emotions are what fuel my Quirk," you shot back, louder this time. "Without them, I wouldn't have been able to save anyone."

"Is that what you think?" His voice remained calm, almost too calm, and that made the pit in your stomach deepen. "Tell me, when's the last time you truly controlled your Quirk without letting your emotions dictate your actions?"

You wanted to argue, to defend yourself, but the truth was gnawing at you. You hadn't. Not really. Not since that day.

Aizawa took a step closer. "You're going to have to face it if you want to move forward."

Face what?

You didn't need him to say it. You already knew. He was pushing you toward something you'd been avoiding, even in the deepest corners of your mind. But he wasn't going to let you avoid it any longer.

"I want you to go back," he said, his voice low but firm. "Back to your worst memory."

The room suddenly felt colder. You blinked at him, trying to steady your breathing, but your pulse raced as if your body knew where he was leading you before your mind caught up.

"No," you said, almost a whisper, as you shook your head. "I'm not doing that."

"You are," Aizawa replied without hesitation. "If you can't face what happened, if you can't keep control over your Quirk when it matters most, you'll never master it."

The memory clawed at the edges of your mind, threatening to drag you under even before the training began. You had locked it away, told yourself you wouldn't let it rule you. But now Aizawa was forcing it to the surface, and part of you was terrified of what would happen if you let it.

"I can control my Quirk," you insisted, though your voice wavered. "I've proven it."

"Not enough," Aizawa said, unrelenting. "You've been running from this, and it shows. That's why today, you're going to face it. No more holding back. No more hiding."
