With hope fluttering in your chest, you watched him leave. This had to work—there was no other option. Everything was in his hands now. You had to trust him, but the knot in your stomach wouldn't let go. A part of you wanted to chase after him, to watch from the shadows and see everything unfold. Would it play out exactly as you remembered? Or would it be different? Worse, what if it didn't work at all?

You shook your head, trying to brush those thoughts aside. It has to work.

But doubt gnawed at you. You stood there, frozen, battling your thoughts. Should you follow him, just to make sure? Maybe watch from a distance, close enough to step in if things went wrong? Your feet betrayed you, taking a tentative step forward before you could decide. The temptation was too strong, and soon you were sprinting up the stairs, weaving past the last few students leaving UA for the day.

Your mind raced with questions. Where should I hide? How long will I have to wait for myself to leave the classroom and head to the bathroom? A million scenarios played out in your head, each more unsettling than the last. But you had a plan, or at least you thought you did. You'd wait near the door, just close enough to hear what happened inside. You needed to know if the conversation between you and All Might went exactly as it did before.

But deep down, you were afraid. Afraid that something, anything, would be different.

You tried to calm yourself, replaying every time-travel theory you'd read in books. The loop theory was solid—this should work. It had to. Yet, something gnawed at you, a gut feeling that everything wouldn't snap back to normal the way it was supposed to.

Your watch, still set to the wrong time, didn't help. You cursed yourself for not fixing it earlier. You remembered checking the time when you entered the classroom that day, but in the chaos of it all, you never reset the watch. Now that small oversight seemed like it could cost you everything.

You slipped into the hallway near the classroom, heart pounding. Is past-me already inside? You couldn't risk running into yourself—who knows what that might trigger? As you leaned against the wall, you caught the sound of footsteps approaching. A quick glance around the corner confirmed it: it was you.

Seeing yourself always felt weird. Almost surreal. Not many people got to experience what you were seeing now—your own doppelgänger, oblivious to your presence, walking toward the classroom like nothing was out of the ordinary. You checked her posture, the way she glanced at her watch—exactly how you remembered doing it. That's me. For sure.

As soon as she slipped inside, you let out a breath of relief. Now all you had to do was wait. But how long? That stupid watch wouldn't give you any clues. You cursed under your breath and quietly moved closer to the door, straining to hear what was going on inside.

At first, it sounded normal. All Might's voice, your own, the familiar rhythm of conversation. You sat down outside the door, pressing your ear to it. Everything was playing out as you remembered—so far, so good. You started to relax, maybe this would work after all.

Then a loud noise inside jolted you to your feet. Your past self would be leaving soon, you realized, and you needed to get out of sight. Fast. You backed away from the door just in time to avoid a very awkward confrontation with yourself. Now, it was a matter of timing. You knew where past-you was heading—the bathroom. And you had to be gone before you arrived.

But where to hide? You couldn't go into the bathroom, obviously. You remembered checking the stalls—there was no one there. You'd have to find a spot nearby and wait for the right moment. And then, when you traveled back in time, everything should reset. Should.

Suddenly, you heard footsteps again. Quick, hurried steps. You ducked into the same hiding spot, watching from the shadows as your other self exited the classroom. She waved to All Might and headed down the hall toward the bathroom, just like before. You exhaled, relieved. So far, so good.

But just as you started to relax, a hand grabbed your arm, making you jump out of your skin.

"Why are you still here, (L/N)-san? Shouldn't you be...?"

All Might's voice was calm, but his surprise was clear. You nearly laughed out loud from the shock.

"It's me, sensei," you said, your voice barely above a whisper. "I mean... me from the other timeline."

His expression changed in an instant, his eyes narrowing in what looked like frustration. "Then what are you doing here? You said meeting yourself was a risk—"

"I know, I know," you cut him off, waving your hand dismissively. "But it's fine. I'm not going to run into myself. I know where I'll be. Everything's under control. I just have to wait until I jump back in time, and then we're good. No harm, no foul."

He hesitated, his eyes searching yours like he wanted to argue. Instead, he sighed, placing a hand on your shoulder. The touch sent a strange tingling through your skin, but you ignored it.

"Alright," he said. "Just be careful."

"I will." You nodded, offering him a small smile. "See you later, All Might-sensei."

With that, you turned and headed toward the bathroom. You just had to wait for the two girls to arrive, the ones who would unknowingly trigger your time jump. As you reached the door, you heard them approaching, their voices carrying down the hall. You couldn't quite make out their conversation, but it didn't matter. You knew what would happen next.

The door opened, and the two girls walked out, talking and laughing. You watched them go, then slipped inside the bathroom, grabbed your things, and headed home with a grin stretching across your face. It worked. It actually worked.

Now you could finally relax. The nightmare of time loops and Quirk malfunctions was over. You could go home, hide under your blanket, and maybe—just maybe—think about what your future with All Might would look like. Would you talk to him about everything? Or pretend it never happened?

As you walked home, a raindrop landed on your cheek. You glanced up at the sky—there hadn't been any sign of rain. Not wanting to stick around and get drenched, you started running. Your house was just ahead, almost there. But as you neared the door, you heard a familiar voice.

"What happened? Forgot your umbrella?"

It was your sister. She hadn't seen you yet, but she was standing in front of the house, talking to someone.

"You won't believe it! Someone stole my bag. At UA of all places!"

Your blood ran cold. You slowed to a stop as the scene in front of you came into focus.

No. No. This wasn't right.

Standing next to your sister was... you.

It didn't work.
