"Thank you for bringing me home, girl" Teddy thanks me when I stop my car in front of her home.
"Alyssa at your service!" I say while chuckling and she takes her things to get out but then turns back to me.
One of her hands opening the door with her legs outside the car, she gets back in it.
"You better come to my party tonight!" She says and I start opening my mouth to argue but she cuts me off before I have the time to. "Rosalie is coming, Josh is coming, daddy too and I know you like him don't even try to get me wrong." She says and I can't help but laugh my ass off.
"Of course I like him because he is my Frieeeend," I say and insist on the last word.
"I'll erase you from my life and you won't be my friend anymore if you don't come! You don't have any excuse! You never go to parties!" She seems to get upset about the fact that I try to argue instead of just chilling and saying yes.
Teddy doesn't wait anymore and just get out of the car to slam the door behind her.
Right after, I drive away home and I try to weigh the pros and the cons.
Should I go to that party to enjoy and spend more time with my friends or should I stay home with my little family as I did for the past few weeks or should I say months?
I don't know what I should do. My mom is getting better every day, she even drove Liam to school this morning but can I let her alone with Liam who's acting weirder every time he comes back from his soccer training?
Everything seems to get fixed but there's my dad, or should I say, stranger, who acts like shit and also Liam who's changing to another person.
I don't know what's going on but I gotta find out.
When I finally arrive home, I park my car in the hallway and walk slowly to the front door while looking for my keys in my handbag not to annoy anyone. Once I find them, I enter and put down all my things when I get in the living room.
"Hi mom, hi Superman!" I say but none of them answers.
Finding this a bit weird, I decide to walk into the kitchen to drink some water. A fresh liquid that's vital to your life. I almost empty the bottle but when I'm not thirsty anymore I put it back in the fridge and start getting out of the kitchen when I notice a paper on the work plan.
I take it and start reading it.
"Seriously?" I whisper to myself, a little annoyed about what I read but a huge smile grows on my face at the same time.
My mom's handwriting is saying that she brought Liam out to the cinema as they used to do every Saturday before she got her breathing problems. She always used to spend the day with him because when she was working at the hospital she couldn't really see him and enjoy her moments with him.
I put back the sheet of paper on the work plan and go upstairs to my room to lay on my bed but I hear my phone ringing from downstairs.
"Fuck" I curse because I hate when I'm laying and trying to get some rest but then something happens which obligates me to get up.
The idea of letting it ringing crosses my mind but it could be something important so I just get up and run downstairs to look for it.
I quickly check the screen before I pick up.
"Hi, Josh... You okay?" I ask, trying to recover my breath.
"Hi, Sweetheart! Are you ready? Because you're coming to the party!" He says out of nowhere.
"What? No... I decided to stay home..." I say while getting back to my room.
"I could have stayed with you but the fact is that everyone is counting on me to convince you to come. Seems like I'm the only one who can make you change your mind" He says in a sarcastic tone but they're right.
Josh is literally the person I ask for advice when I'm lost or when I need to make a decision.
"I'll be with you and everything will go great... Please." I can feel him acting like a little puppy and I can't help but accept.
"How much time will you take to come over?" I say and he just chuckles because he knows that his using the power he has on me to make me accept everything.
"10," He says and hangs up.
I throw my phone on my bed and walk to my wardrobe because I'm definitely not going to this party if I'm not wearing comfy clothes. I didn't want to go there at first so I won't spend hours and hours getting ready. I decide to wear black jeans then I look through my sweaters to wear one but the one I take is Shawn's hoodie.
I didn't give it back to its owner yet and I should have too... I just forgot about it and I won't lie... This hoodie is really, really, really comfy.
I don't think twice and change myself into it and the pair of black jeans that I chose. I wear my hair into a messy bun and put on my Van's old skool.
This outfit is a classic when I don't want to make any effort but I love it. I could wear it every day until the end of my life.
When I'm "ready" I just take my phone and put it in the hoodie's pocket before I go downstairs.
I turn off all the lights, take my keys and get outside and find that Josh is already parking his car.
Wow, what a synchronization.
I run to his car and get inside it.
"Hello!" I say and hug him over the gearbox.
"Wow, what an excited girl I see in you." He says which makes me laugh and i just punch him in his shoulder in a playful way.
"Don't mess up with me" I say while putting on my seat belt and there we go.
After about 5 minutes I get confused because of the journey he's using.
"Teddy's home isn't that way" I turn to him, frowning.
"The party isn't in Teddy's... Matt called me to tell me that they changed the location" he says, still driving and without giving me any look.
"And where are we going??" I ask but then I recognize the way he's taking.
"To Shawn's apartment"
