"(Y/N)?"
"Yeah?" I respond as I look at Shirayuki.
".. Are you okay?"
I smile slightly. "Yeah, I'm fine."
"You don't look like it.." she says and puts a hand on my arm. "Talk to me."
I sigh a bit. Shirayuki has been an amazing friend to have and making her worry like this does make me feel a bit guilty. I look around me before thinking it might be good to move somewhere else.
"Let's go to my room." I say and we go upstairs. The night's closing in and we're now just hanging around in our inn. Shin has already gone to his room and I haven't seen Obi in a while now. He might be in his room or he could be outside for all I know. I lost track of him after Shirayuki and I started to talk earlier.
When we're in my room, I close the door. I know you can still hear someone's voice if you stand near the door, but it's better to have at least a bit of privacy. I look at the redhead who's sitting on my bed and awaiting my words. I go to sit next to her.
"Alright," I start. "It's been about three weeks since I've met you all."
She nods.
"And I would not be exaggerating to say it's changed my whole life."
She smiles then.
"I've been learning how to express myself again and how to be around people and stuff. There's a lot of things I learned and there are two things I want you to know about."
I hold up one finger. "Jealousy."
I hold up another finger. "Love."
I said it a bit softly as I really don't want anyone else to listen to this. Shirayuki face shows surprise, before seeming to get what I mean.
"Do you mean romantic love?" she asks and I nod.
".. Might I ask who?"
"Yes, but keep it quiet okay?" She nods. "It's Obi."
She gasps and I look away in embarrassment. Before I can recover she pulls me in an embrace. "Aah this is so exciting!" she says and pulls away. "To be honest, I have thought of you two as a couple before. It seemed pretty fitting." She smiles broadly and I am feeling real hot of embarrassment.
"Yea- eh, but about the other thing.. I felt jealousy towards you, Shirayuki."
Her face shows surprise again, before looking puzzled. "What, why?"
"He likes you."
She stays silent for a bit.
"I see.." she looks at me directly. "I'm sorry I didn't realize before, you must've been hurting for a while then."
She then grabs my hand in a way of comfort. "But I one hundred percent support you! You need to make him forget his crush on me, okay?" She says and I could just see flames of determination burning behind her eyes. I'm glad she took it so well and the way she reacted summoned a sound I have not heard or have been able to make in a long while. A soft chuckle escapes my lips and it surprises the both of us. She then hugs me again and softly she says with a laugh "Ah it's so fun to see you grow like this."

Footsteps in the corridor wake me up. Judging from the light that's coming from behind the window's curtains, a fresh morning has started. I feel rested, after the talk with Shirayuki I fell asleep soundly. It feels great to have someone support you. The footsteps in the corridor continue and then stop, from the weight of the footsteps I could tell it is Obi. I hear a knock, not on my door, probably Shirayuki's. My heart throbs less than it usually would and that makes me glad.
I hear the door opening, a silence and a sudden yell from Obi "Shit!", followed by quick footsteps and silence again.
I move out of the bed, alarmed by the sounds. I throw my door open and quickly walk towards Shirayuki's room just to find no one there. Not even Shirayuki herself. A note on the bed catches my attention. I walk up and read it.
'Too bad, Blue Anann
We took your friend
Coming back here is a big mistake
You shall pay for what you did to us!-SH'
On it was also a stamp that sent a chill down my spine. The logo of the Sea's Hydra. I push back the tendency to crumble the paper and smash something in the room. Shirayuki got kidnapped dammit! And we were in the same building! How could this happen!
I breath in sharply to calm myself. I look at the letter again, fold it and put it in my pants pocket. I then scan the room, now much calmer than before. Nothing indicates a fight, but the window is open. It might be Obi that had done that or that's how Shirayuki got kidnapped. I look at the bed, it's too neat. Did she got kidnapped before she got to sleep? I frown at that. That means a lot of time has already passed, she can be far away and maybe something has happened to her already.
Footsteps approach the room and soon Shin appears in the doorway. "What happened, I saw Obi run away?" he questions worried.
"Shin! Prepare a horse, quickly!" He sees my alarm and obeys to my request. He rushes back downstairs while I run back to my room.
It's too late to just blindly rush out after Shirayuki, I have to stop Obi so we can work it out together. An emotional misstep is the least we need now. My heart throbs when I realize he didn't even think about warning or waking me. I'm also worried for his mental state, he must be feeling a lot of things right now.
I put on my bag and cloak, then jump out of my window. Stairs are a hassle when you're in a rush. I see two horses and also Shin already seated on one. Hah, that guy's a good help!
I quickly mount the horse and take of. Shin follows my lead.
"So what's going on?" Shin asks.
"Shirayuki's been kidnapped and Obi rushed out blindly. We need to catch up to him!"
"What? But how do you know where he went?"
"Let's just hope he's thinking the same as me."
