Chapter 10 - The promise

Weeks have passed and me and Zach have been doing great, we're growing stronger every day. Some fans ship us, some don't, but it doesn't matter, I'm happy with Zach and he's happy with me.

We still haven't made it official though, it's because I'm not ready yet.

Between me and Ian... well, it's complicated.

He claims that he is still "in love" with me and he says that he regrets cheating on me and wants me back.

Obviously, I did what I thought was the best thing to do: block him out of my life and ignore him whenever he tries to talk to me.

Oreo grew up so much and now she's a gorgeous full grown German Shepard.

I was lying in bed with Zach and Oreo when I realised that Zach had to leave soon or his first international tour ever, I hadn't realised that I was crying until Zach started wiping off my tears with his thumb and started giving me kisses.

"Hey, whats wrong? Did I do something bad?"

"No, Zach... I was just thinking about... stuff."

"Y/n, please tell me. I don't like seeing you sad."

"You're leaving in a few days..."

"We can still text and FaceTime, you know that princess."

"Zach, I know but... it will be different. I have a feeling that you will forget about me, you will meet someone new, someone better than me and I will be forgotten."

I get out of bed and go to the bathroom to wash my face and to gather myself.

Suddenly, I feel hands wrap around my waist from behind.

"I won't forget about you. Ever." I really really like you, we will make it official as soon as you are ready, okay?" He says while gently kissing my neck.

"Promise me that you won't forget about me." I say.

"I promise." He answers.

I start to walk out of the bathroom but he stops me.

"Y/n, wait."

"What?"

"We have to make sure that we keep this promise."

"How? Like a pinky promise?"

"No. I've got something better."

He walks closer to me, puts his hands around me, pulls me closer to him and kisses me.

"This is how we lock our promises from now on, Y/n."

He walks away and leaves the room.

These last few days of Zach's stay in the Philippines, we've done everything together.

Time flies and soon it was time for Zach to leave.

"Do you really have to leave?" I say while hugging him.

"I will keep our promise, okay?"

"See you later, alligator." I say while crying.

"In a while, crocodile." He replies.

We give each other a goodbye kiss and he leaves to go to his gate.

I turn around and see Faith standing sin a corner with Oreo. She walks up to me and hugs me.

"Hey, he will come back. I promise."

After two hours, we finally get back home and everything turns back to how it was before Zach came into my life. Silence and non stop studying.
