Alex

I looked out the bus window while Emma rambled on about how her and Elijah hung out, and how awesome he was. To be honest, I wasn't really listening. I had lot's of different thoughts running through my head and I wondered what Emma would do when she found out that Elijah really actually did like her. "Alex, are you even listening to me?" I heard Emma say.

"No, I'm listening, I was just looking out the window, I am all ears," I replied. She crossed her arms.

"Then what did I just say?" She argued.

"That you were hanging out with Elijah," I answered, hoping that just maybe I was correct.

"Alex, you weren't paying attention, I dropped that topic a few minutes ago!" Emma said sitting back in her seat.

"Oh, what were you talking about then?" I asked her.

"I was just talking about our movie night tonight..." Emma blushed. I suddenly became interested in the topic. Mostly because it was about something that we could do together. And we didn't have to talk about Elijah either.

"Oh, yeah, well what movie do you want to watch?" I asked her.

"I don't know, I'm up for anything," Emma said. I took a deep breath, Emma was the worst person to pick out a movie with.

"Okay, well what type of movie are you in the mood to see? Comedy, Horror, Fantasy, Fiction, I don't care," I said. "As long as it is not romance!"

"Oh come on Alex, romance isn't that bad!" Emma debated.

"Psshhh, says you, a girl!" I replied.

"Come on, I have the perfect movie for us to watch, please? We haven't had a movie night in forever," Emma batted her eye lashes and used a puppy-dog face on me. I couldn't help but give in.

"Okay, fine, but next movie night, we get to watch a movie I want to watch, okay?"

"Agreed," Emma smiled, happy that she got her way. I looked out the window, at the other cars passing our bus.

"Emma," I said.

"What?" Emma answered. I actually didn't know what I was going to say, I just said her name randomly, for no reason at all, it just came out. I looked at her. Then I decided to be quiet, because I didn't want to say what I was thinking. I knew what I wanted to say, Emma, I really need to tell you that I like you, a lot. I have forever and I just can't go another day of my life without being with you. I couldn't live without you in my life. And if I ever saw you with Elijah I would have to run far away, so I didn't have to feel that pain inside. If you left me I would crawl in a cave and die. I adore you more than you could ever think. But Emma, what I want to tell you most of all is that, I'm in love with you.

The whole scene played in my head and I was about to say it, but all I managed to get out was a simple "Never mind." When she replied with 'okay' I was disappointed in myself. I need to tell her how I feel I thought to myself. Next time I run into a situation like that, I will tell her how I really feel.

The bus then pulled down my street, so I got ready to get off. "This is your street..." Emma said.

"I know, but I will see you later!" I replied, trying to make her happy.

"Yeah," Emma smiled.

"So, I guess I will see you soon?" The bus stopped so I could get off.

"Yep, to watch our movie!" She smiled big and I walked down the isle of the bus to exit. I knew in my head that during the movie, I would try as hard as I could to hold her hand. I knew one thing for a fact, that if I wanted Emma more than Elijah, which I did, I would have to prove that to Emma.
