Ch 11- Explaining

Eliza POV

     John and I looked at each other, still shocked about what just happened?

John- Who... who was that??

Eliza- Peggy, I think? I mean it looked like her, but that did sound like her.

     John and I broke out into laughs.

John- There's that smile.

Eliza- Hmm?

John- That smile! The smile that we all love about you.

Eliza- Oh. I actually don't like my smile.

John- Why??

Eliza- It's the same reason with your freckles. We all love them, but you hate them.

John- Why would I?

Eliza- Because, well.... they're adorable.

John- I get them from my father. And I want nothing to do with him. I don't even want any of his features!

Eliza- John, just because you have his freckles doesn't mean that you'll grow up like him! And I know that you'll never abuse anyone for their sexuality!

      John remained silent. I thought that we should go inside, but Maria came running out.

Maria- Guys!

Eliza- What's wrong?

Maria- It's Alex.

      I needed no more information. Me and John ran inside to see the gang standing outside a room which I'm guessing was Alexander's. Almost every second, there was a nurse or doctor running in or out of the room. The next thing I knew, I was on the floor. I don't know why but I was bawling my eyes out and couldn't breathe.

Peggy- Oh thank God...

Theodosia- Guys, she's up!

       Maria and Angelica come running towards me at full speed, hugging me. What's going on?

Eliza- I can't breathe.... I can't feel anything.

John- What? What's wrong??

     They let go of the hug and look at me. I'm holding my chest with one hand, the other on my forehead. 

Eliza- I can't breathe or feel anything!

Angelica- I'll go get water.

     Angie leaves and comes back quickly with water.

Lafayette- Eliza, can you sit up and drink some water?

      I try to, but I pass out.

Peggy POV

     Well, Eliza just passed out twice. Some doctors that came out of Alex's room, including Martha, notices the boys shaking her and Theo fanning her. Burr requested Eliza to get a room, so they did. Thomas carried her, and Martha puts an IV in. 

Martha- Do you know what happened?

Thomas- John and her came in and they heard Alexander's heart monitor thingy do the long never ending beep, then she passed out. Five minutes later, she woke up.

Hercules- We got her some water and she passes out again.

Martha- Ok, did she say anything at all?

Hercules-  She said that she couldn't breathe or feel anything.

     Martha took notes while they talked, then walked out. About an hour later, Eliza wakes up.

Angelica- Oh good, your up.

     I take the remote by the bed and pressed the button that called Martha to the room.

Peggy- Do you know what happened?

     Eliza opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out. She just stared off into space not saying anything. Martha quickly came in. 

Martha- Is everything o- Oh Eliza, your up! How are you feeling?

     Eliza only nodded. Martha realized this and left, quickly came back with a notebook and pencil.  We all watched as she quickly wrote things down.

Eliza- I'm sorry guys

John- Why?

Eliza- I keep passing out for no reason.

Angelica- ELIZABETH PHILLIPA SCHUYLER, DON'T YOU DARE BE SORRY!!

Hercules- In fact, we should be sorry.

     Eliza gave him a questioning look. Herc and the boys share looks. Thomas nods. Oof, I know what they're gonna say.

Burr- This is all a dare. The friendship. It was John's task.

Eliza- For how long?

John- A month or so. We have to complete the dares by the end of the school year.

Eliza- Dares?

Thomas- One dare was for us to to become your friend and the other one was for Alex to make you fall in love with him.

Lafayette- Nos sincères excuses, mon ami.

        Eliza remains silent for a long time, still staring off into space.

Maria- Eliza, are you alright?

Eliza- Well, you're dare is complete...
