Helpless (Bakugou Katsuki x Reader)

A/N: Was listening to this song and got to a part that reminded me of the King of Explodo-Kills. Hope you enjoy! I do not own Hamilton, My Hero Academia, or any of its characters. Comments and constructive criticism are appreciated!

You were cheerful to the extreme, the other 1-A girls observed, as you twirled around your kitchen, a dazzling smile refusing to leave your face as you hummed to yourself. It was your turn to host girls night, every week the girls of Class 1-A got together to go out, watch movies, or play games. Though you were a relatively positive and happy person, your friends had never seen you this upbeat. You were practically about to burst into song!

"(y/n)-chan, did something happen? Not that it isn't adorable, but you seem super cheerful," Kyouka asked, her hand dipping into a bowl of tortilla chips. 

"Mmhm! Something wonderful happened!" You stopped gathering snacks and clapped your hands together excitedly, a small blush appearing on your cheeks. "I-"

"OH! OH! Let me guess!" Mina jumped up from the nest she had made in your bean bag and grabbed your face, inspecting it closely. "You're blushing..." She tilted your face to the side, a finger rubbing against your pink cheeks. "You're eyes are a little starry..." She brought her face close to yours, yellow eyes peering into your own and taking note of how bright the color looked. "Hmm...let's see, what else-Wait! Wait! WAIT! It has to do with Bakugou doesn't it!!!" Mina let go of your face, instead grabbing your shoulders and shaking you. "Details, girl! I need details!!!" They all knew about your deep crush on Bakugou, trying to find ways to encourage a romantic relationship whenever possible. 

"They really are the best friends I could ask for," you thought with a smile, despite Mina's continued shaking.

"Huh? Bakugou finally made a move?" Momo inquired excitedly as she and other girls practically jumped on you in their rush to crowd around you.

"What happened? Was he romantic? Or still an asshole? Actually, he was probably still an asshole, being romantic seems like it would be impossible for him," Kyouka inquired first.

"But Bakugou seems to really care about (y/n)-chan so maybe he put in some sort of effort, ribbit," Tsu-chan offered, a finger pressed to her chin in thought. 

"Wait, how did you fall for Bakugou in the first place, (y/n)-chan?" Ochaco asked, interest bright in her eyes. 

"Yes! I've been curious about that for a long time. Tell us the magnificent story of your love, (y/n)-chan!!!" Toru proclaimed excitedly, the sleeves of her shirt waving rapidly as she ran to your couch, jumped on it, and made herself comfortable for the "magnificent" story. You blinked owlishly as Ochaco pulled you onto a divan with her, the others returning to their spots as well, staring at you eagerly and munching on the snacks you had gathered. 

"Where to begin," you murmured, rubbing the back of your neck as a blush appeared on your cheeks.

"From the very beginning! Leave no detail out!" Toru squeaked, Momo nodding fervently in agreement.

"Well, as you know I'm not really one to grab the spotlight despite how flashy my Quirk is. The day of the entrance exam, I tried to avoid attention until the practical exam." You smiled softly, remembering the first time you had laid eyes on Bakugou Katsuki, the man who attracted attention wherever he went. "I ended up being in the same group as Bakugou, and when I saw him my heart just went...boom, y'know?" Your audience chuckled at the figure of speech and how fitting it was for the King of Explodo-Kills. "When the practical exam actually began, I completely forgot about not attracting attention and went all out to try to catch his eye, which sounds really weird when I say it out loud," you smiled, embarrassed.
