A/N: This was a request from ao3. I'm surprised I haven't actually written anything for Shigaraki yet. Enjoy!

I do not own My Hero Academia, any of its characters, or the picture.

Yandere Warning: stalking, kidnapping, obsessiveness

"Talk of the devil and he is sure to appear."

Bloodshot eyes watched you from afar, sweet and beautiful and so so naive as you practically pranced down the sidewalk, a gentle smile on your face. A hero life didn't suite you at all in his opinion. You were far too gentle and virtuous for a life of pseudo justice and lies. No, you were one of the few individuals Shigaraki Tomura didn't want to disintegrate upon first sight, a light that would burn him if he touched it but that he wanted to oh so badly.

You were the direct opposite of him. He should hate you and everything you embodied, but he just didn't and he knew exactly why. It was because you were everything he wanted as a child, before All For One had come for him, a warm, bright place that could be a home even for someone as broken as he, where he wouldn't have to feel cold, fear, or hunger anymore.

He thought he'd extinguished that want a long time ago and replaced it with All For One's ideology and his desire to be useful to the man who had saved him and taught him to be strong, but when he saw you one day in passing on the street that dormant want from so long ago had awakened to wreak havoc on his twisted mind. Now, every thought was filled with you, keeping him up at night and distracting him from his work as leader of the League of Villains.

It made him angry knowing that he was letting another person have power over him to the point that he was shirking his responsibilities to the organization All For One had so kindly given, but it made him even angrier to know that you had no idea of his existence or the hold you had taken over his thoughts.

He should want to destroy you, erase this consuming distraction, but he didn't. He wanted to protect you and your light, lock it away where no one could snuff it out.

In the dank darkness of his room late one night, he came to a solution, something so blindingly simple he didn't know how he hadn't realized it earlier.

If he just had you by his side, his little pet to bring him happiness, then there wouldn't be a problem. Shigaraki could concentrate on his work knowing you were close by and under his control and that you knew of him as your possessor. All he had to do was bring you here and make sure you couldn't escape from him.

It was relatively easy to track you down and find out everything there was to know about you. His connections and own skills as a villain came in quite useful in learning your name, date of birth, address, favorite food, and so on. Briefly, Shigaraki found it amusing that he knew so much about you and yet you didn't know a single thing about him, but no matter. You would know plenty about him soon enough, whether you wanted to or not.

It took little time for him to concoct a plan based on the information he had gathered and after that it was all he could do to daydream of you and what life would be like with you. Shigaraki knew he was a devil through and through, raised to be the perfect villain, but after everything he'd suffered didn't he deserve an angel of his own? He believed so to the point of obsession.

The blue-haired man had never really been one to think of consequences, but any potential repercussions he could possibly face over bringing you, a hero, to the League of Villains' headquarters were completely dismissed. What did consequences matter when he was certain he'd work better with you under his control? Now that he had something he wanted and a plan to get it, there was very little that could stop him. Surely Father would agree with him, right?

And oh, he couldn't wait to finally have you in his clutches, to touch that light uncaring of whether it burned him or not. That light was his and no one else's. His dreams of you had become so vivid lately he could barely stand waking up and not having you near. In his dreams, his fingers slipped through that silky hair of yours, his mouth tasted the sweat of your skin, his body felt the heat of your own, and, most importantly, he heard his name on your lips, a perfect angel for the devil in him. He wanted to hear you say his name so badly, a steady ache growing in his black heart with every passing moment his name wasn't cleansed by your clear voice.

Make no mistake, Shigaraki knew what he felt for you wasn't love and it definitely wasn't a desire for you to absolve him of his many sins. The idea of love repulsed him and he lived to be bathed in villainy. No, what he felt for you was dark obsession, a desire to possess you in every way because he was a villain and villains took what they wanted no matter who it hurt. And right now this pure, innocent hero was what Shigaraki wanted more than anything else. In his arms no one would be able to touch his angel, just as it should be.

Tongue ran across cracked lips as his eyes followed you, completely unaware of his piercing gaze as you opened the door to your home and disappeared inside. Slinking out from his hiding spot among the shadows across the street, Shigaraki moved to your window, dark hoody camouflaging him in the dusk light.

He'd stood at this spot so many times, gazing in at you as the ache to take you away grew, and now that the time was finally upon him he could barely contain himself from throwing stealth to the wind and disintegrating your front door. But you were still a hero with a quirk that would draw attention if he startled you and gave you enough time to attack him. He needed to be careful. You didn't know him...yet, and the last thing he needed was a swarm of cops and heroes descending on your place before he had succeeded in abducting you.

Reaching forward, Shigaraki pressed a hand to the glass of the window, destroying it soundlessly. He took a deep breath of your scent as he climbed inside. Would his room smell like this after he brought you there? Taking a second to listen for you, he caught the sound of you humming to yourself in the kitchen. What would it be like to come home to your voice after a long day of crime? The thought sent pleasurable shivers down his spine as he ghosted forwards, ill intent in every step.

He stood at the edge of the circle of light cast through the kitchen doorway, looking in at you as you went about pouring yourself a drink. On the kitchen table, your phone buzzed and you reached for it, not noticing the dangerous figure standing just beyond the doorway. You looked at the screen for a few moments, the expression on your face shifting in a way Shigaraki knew from watching you for so long. It was the face you made whenever you learned about some injustice in the world, the hero in you rising to the surface.

Blinking, Shigaraki let a vicious smile cross his lips. No more waiting. It was time to take what he wanted. He moved to take a step forward, into the light...

"Shigaraki."

...And abruptly stopped, the breath knocked out of his lungs.

The sound of his name on your lips was sweeter than he could've ever imagined. It left him breathless and invigorated at the same time, the blood rushing in his veins in a way it never had before. He wanted to hear you say it again and again and again until it was the only thing both you and he knew.

Red eyes settled on you with a new intensity, his smile widening. There was no way he could hold back now. Not when you had called his devil's name.

Shigaraki Tomura relished the way you said it as a whisper when he appeared behind you, your eyes wide and reflecting his crazed expression as he finally, finally enclosed you in his grasp, never to let go.
