descriptions in your work? when i researched 'quietus' these two concepts came up: (1) it's a famous fanfic which has a hades x persephone. I had to ditch this since kokodaes already used this and I didn't want to seem like I'm copying her so I stuck with the original meaning of quietus (2) which meant death in the archaic times and today, meant closer to silence so I mixed it and came up with the idea of a girl wishing for a silent death. (I'm gonna sound emo starting now so apologies) I separated her head that way because quietus meant 'a finishing stroke' or a stroke that ends everything. I made her look like porcelain as a symbolism for being fragile. There are tons of symbolisms in this cover. The flowers, blue hyacinth, means deep sorrow, which explains the reason behind her wanting that kind of death. And that her thoughts and feelings are somehow welled up inside her hence the cage. The butterflies, meant "the soul leaving the body", the dead branches & the dove are also icons of death. The skies and bokeh represent heaven. I searched these meanings so that I'd have something to guide me. I blurred the title on purpose to make it appear like a whisper (I'm confusing, I know.)
how did you come up with this idea? I was mostly inspired by Aykut Aydoğdu. He draws and manipulates his models with symbolisms to bring a deeper meaning to it.
hints on how you did this cover/graphics? pen tool, layer styles, layer masks, filters, adjustment layers and clipping masks... that's all I guess...
