welcome to shades of aesthete season 4!

hello everyone! i'm back, it's me LIANNEEEE! so right now, we will start on season 4.

by the way, i will be posting the top 5 entries of season 3 after the elimination round and u guys will be the one who will choose a winner by rating and giving it a critique!

because we are on quarantine, i will be bringing this competition for you guys to have fun, learn and experience how a graphic artist should show of his/her skills in this community. and based on the other 3 seasons this competition has done, this will have the same rules and same thing to happen!

as the previous seasons, there are different types of graphics. each of the styles are really different so i may suggest that you will stick on the style or genre that will be given to you. i also suggest that you will really search a lot about the style and to give your artwork a groundpoint then add your own sprinkles of creativity. here they are!

1st strand: PHOTO MANIPULATION (photo manipulation is somewhat the basis and most common in the graphic industry. by doing the basic skills of rendering and merging, it is somewhat the starter pack of some graphic artists and such. but, photo manipulation indeed needs to have the balance and the precise ratio of the the photos that you will manipulate. there are two types, simple manip and hard manip. simple manip does and yes, as the name says, simple. you will simply edit two photos together to form a natural feel that they are in the same place. on the other hand, hard manip requires more time. it is time consuming to say the least, because even the background, the scenario and the characters involved in the artwork goes beyond what you have seen in their original photos.)

2nd strand: BLENDING (blending is somewhat hard to the newbies. it requires the skill of balancing, and doing a lot of work in making the canvas more clean and not messy. blending has three different genres that you can choose from: horror/drama/romance. you must learn how to balance the colors, the textures and how the overall look you wanted your graphics to be in using this style.)

3rd strand: TUMBLR/AESTHETIC (this style deals more on the aesthetic creativity of the artist. in short, it's your own uniqueness that is really portrayed in your atwork. choosing the right filter/psd and the simpleness makes this style rule out. there are many artworks that deals with this style that really make us wondee how creative they are and see how balanced the colors is. overall, this is my fave!)

4th strand: ANIME (anime can be in a manip, blend or tumblr like style. this strand uses anime as a basis of character and has been iconic since then. you can search c4d graphics, and you'll see how wonderful they are!)

5th strand: VECTOR/SIMPLISTIC (classic books, vectors and iconic fonts. this style is really has a soft spot in our eyes whenever we will go to libraries to read books or go to bookstores to buy one. to do the classic thingy that will hook a reader with just one stare, we will have to be creative and careful in choosing our font and vector!)

6th strand: FANART STYLE (a trend nowadays! fanart style is popularized in deviantart and has been ever since. it's brush strokes and the devoid of any original look of a character makes this style stunning with its neon and cyber like graphics. using your own creativity, this can be primarily used together with manip and even anime too!)
