title: summer red
any descriptions of your work? when i searched up what red symbolised, it was said to stimulate people into making quick decisions. it also symbolises willpower, courage and love, which is what i tried to showcase in the whole backstory. basically the girl (let's call her jane) is working part time as a waitress while she tries to figure out what to do with her life. one summer day, as she' s wiling down tables, she suddenly remembers a friend telling her about how she went on a road trip to 'discover her true self' and in an act of desperation, jane decides to spontaneously go on a road trip. she packs her things that night and sets off the next morning on a summer trip she'll never forget where she makes new friends, finds love and discovers the courage to be her and do what she really wants to do
how did you come up with this idea? when i first read the title summer read, idk why but i instantly thought of those 1950s red summer dresses and while looking for resources, i found the waitress pic and everything started coming together
