title: corrupted shadows
any descriptions of your work? it's pretty much just a simple manip and before putting a score, i do suggest amping your phone or laptop's brightness a bit as it does look dark when your on the lowest brightness but it looks fine when you put it just the tiniest bit up! but basically, joy here is a reaper of souls and was one of the best in that line of work so she was assigned to collect souls of criminals, murderers, and those whose souls can be counted as 'corrupted'. The shadow behind her chair has devil horns and it shows that as much as she looks innocent, she can get devilish whilst doing her job.
how did you come up with this idea? my first idea was to actually make it somehow medieval-ish themed, cue the background. then i just started looking up png packs to see what tickles my fancy and i found this joy png :)) then i went on from there. the shadow with horns was actually inspired by a wallpaper i saw while browing deviantart for further horror ideas.
hints on how you did this cover/graphics? basically i blended the background and pngs together using shadows and light. there are also a few areas in the cover with rim lighting that i found myself doing unconsciously in almost every manip i do (though it isn't quite rim lighting here more like the reflection of the candle light). also regarding the white scribbles on the edges, it's a stylistic choice that i added to fill up more space in the cover as it looked too empty w/o it
rate your own work from 1-10: hmmm.. maybe at least 6? ive done more things im more proud of than this but that doesn't mean this wasn't an improvement from two years ago. also this was a but more fantasy-esque than i expected but i think it still leans on a bit of horror and suspense—

typography, color scheme, theme & cleanliness 50% - (does the cover/graphic so clean? does it look so messy? does the typography and color scheme matches the cover/graphic theme and the way it was put in? does the strand matches your cover/graphic?)
overall, 90/90%
+ 10% for the audience. (does it look good to you? any comments why you gave this score/rate?) this will be added at the end of the round. you can also rate her entry using the 90/90% criteria.
