Bianca walked into the coffee shop to see Kit sitting on the couch holding her drink. She looked up from her phone and smiled at Bianca. Bianca took off her hoodie and set it next to Kit. "I'm gonna go get a drink" Kit nodded her head and took a sip of her drink.

Bianca walked up to the counter and stared at the menu. "So many things to choose from," a stranger said behind her. Bianca jumped a little and turned around to see a pair of handsome, hazel eyes looking at her. "Sorry to startle you, my name's Eric."

The stranger stuck out his hand and Bianca shook it. "My name's Bianca. And yeah, I know what you mean."

Eric pulled out his wallet and said to the barista, "I'll have a grande iced chai latte and whatever the lady will have."

Bianca stood in shock for a second and eventually answered, "I'll have the same as him." Eric payed for the two drinks and went over to the wait counter. "Let me have your phone." Eric looked at Bianca confused. "So I can give you my number dummy."

Eric nodded his head and handed his phone to Bianca. She typed in her number in his phone and handed it back to him. "Talk to you later, then," he asked.

Bianca nodded her head. "Yeah, talk to you later." Bianca walked over to Kit and sat in front of her.

"Did you just give a stranger your number?" Bianca answered the question with only a nod. "Wow, I don't even have the guts to talk to my crush."

Bianca took a sip of her drink then set it back down. "It's a talent, kinda like singing or remixing, you can and can't have it, and you can improve it."

Kit nodded and took her head phones off from around her neck. "What did you bring me here for," Kit asked anxiously.

Bianca pulled out her phone to check the time the put it back in her pocket. Bianca answered, "I wanted to talk about Jax. First off, I know he has cancer." Kit choked on some of her drink.

"How did yo-" Kit was interrupted by Bianca laughing slightly. Kit sat for a second then realized something. "Oh he told you, didn't he?"

Bianca took another long sip of her drink. "Well, aren't you smart," she asked sarcastically. "Also, Miles and Jax are dating, not like it would surprise anyone."

Kit laughed and finished her drink. "Nope, not surprised at all. Those two were kind of made for each other." Bianca grabbed Kit's cup and threw it in the trash can next to her.

"Second thing," Bianca stated, "is I know you like Brooke. It's pretty obvious, at least to me it is."

Kit nervously crossed her legs and fiddled with her head phones. "Yeah, I do. Not like she'd ever like me back. I'm not that likeable."

Bianca put her hand on Kit's shoulder. "You're very likeable Kit, and Brooke might like you too. Just talk to her."

Kit shrugged her shoulders and pulled out her phone. "Fine, I'll text her now." Kit pulled up her messages with Brooke.

Kit: Hey

Kit put her phone back in her pocket. "And now I just wait," Kit said with a sigh. As quickly as she sent the text, she got a call. "It's from Brooke." Bianca waved her to answer the call. Kit got up with the phone pressed to her ear.

Bianca whispered to herself, "I'm a genius. I knew Brooke likes her." Bianca played on her phone until Kit walked back to her seat smiling. "So, how'd it go?"

Kit sat down, the same smile plastered on her face. "She wants to meet me at the park on Saturday. She even said I could call it a date if I wanted."

Bianca nodded her head and smiled. "That girl's good. I need her to give me tips." Bianca's phone started to ring and she pulled it out. "It's Miles. Hello?"

"Hey B, um what are you doing right now?"

Bianca gave a concerned look to Kit. "I'm with Kit at the Starbucks, why," she asked. Bianca heard Miles sniff. "Miles, what's wrong?"

Miles started crying and Bianca immediately grabbed her stuff and stood up. "Kit come with me." Kit quickly grabbed her things and followed Bianca. "Miles, Kit and I are headed to the hospital. Give us ten minutes."

Bianca hung up the phone and flung her stuff into her car. "Bianca is Jax okay," Kit asked. Bianca quietly shook her head as a tear rolled down her cheek. "Well, he's gonna be. Jax is strong. He can do anything he wants to. He wants to get better, so he's gonna try his hardest. Now, tell me what's wrong with him?"

Bianca turned onto the highway and sped up the car. "Right before I left his stomach started hurting really badly. He eventually fell asleep then I left. Miles told me that when he woke up, Jax was out cold. He tried to wake him up but he didn't and Jax isn't a heavy sleeper. He called in his nurse and she took his pulse and it was low. They took him in for another brain scan and the tumor had started pushing on the place of the brain that controls pain. That's why his stomach started hurting. They have to flood him with chemo so they can do surgery by next Friday."

Kit stared out the window with her jaw dropped. "I can't, it wasn't that big before. It was just the size of a golf ball, and I mean sure that's still really big but it was easy to shrink. Now it's bigger and scarier and harder to deal with. I'm rambling, aren't I?"

Kit's comment made Bianca laugh. "Yeah, just a little bit, but it's fine." Bianca pulled into the hospital parking deck and got her ticket. "It's room 1146 7th floor, don't let me forget." Kit gave a thumbs up and nodded her head. Bianca found a parking spot on the first level and immediately parked.

Kit jumped out of the car and ran towards the door. Bianca followed right behind her. "Remember, B, 7th floor room 1146." Bianca nodded her head. Kit's phone buzzed in her back pocket. She pulled it out and saw Miles's name on the screen. "Hey Miles." Kit could tell he had been crying. "Miles, everything okay?"

Miles sniffed on the other side of the phone. "Kit, are you guys almost here?" Bianca and Kit stepped onto an elevator.

Kit pressed the 7th floor button. "Yeah, we're heading up there now. Is Jax okay?" Miles nodded his head on the other side of the phone.

"He's awake, which is good. But he's still in a lot of pain so that sucks. " Kit let out a big sigh as the elevator doors opened. Bianca stepped out first, then Kit.

Kit pulled off her beanie. "Miles, we're on the floor. See you in a bit," and with that, she hung up the phone.                                                                                                                                                                                 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
