After Jax and Miles got home, Jax went upstairs to Miles' room and went to sleep. Miles sat downstairs and explained to his mom everything that had happened, as she's worked all while Jax was in the hospital.
A couple hours later Miles went to check on Jax. When he went up to the bedroom, Jax wasn't there. Miles then went to the bathroom and saw Jax bent over the toilet. Miles bent down and rubbed Jax's back. Jax stood up and walked back to the bedroom where he collapsed onto the bed.
Miles pushed his legs fully onto the bed and covered him up. "Miles," Jax asked. Miles turned around with a "hmm?" Jax pushed himself and continued, "let's shave my head. I'm tired of hair falling out." Miles nodded his head as Jax laid back down.
Miles went downstairs to see his mother had left for work. He grabbed some microwave pizza from the freezer and cooked it up. Miles plopped on the couch and watched "Shark Tank" while eating his pizza.
Miles eventually fell asleep after only one episode. He woke up 30 minutes later to Jax walking downstairs. Miles sat up and Jax came over, plopped on the couch, and laid his head on Miles' knee. Miles scratched Jax's head as he surfed channels.
Jax fell back asleep on Miles' lap. Miles looked down at the boy he loved. He knew Jax was the one, and he just hoped that Jax felt the same way.
Miles ran his fingers through Jax's hair, with clumps of it falling out with his fingers. Jax starting waking up and slowly lifted his head off Miles' lap.
Jax stood up, walked to the bathroom, and grabbed Miles' dad's old electric razor. Miles walked in and laid his hand on Jax's shoulder. "I'm ready, " Jax whispered to Miles.
Jax turned on the razor. He lifted his hand and shaved straight down the middle of his head. Jax let the tears fall as he finished shaving his entire head. Miles wrapped his arms around Jax and Jax solved while looking down at the floor.
Jax sat down next to the toilet. "I feel like I'm gonna puke," Jax explained to Miles. Miles cleaned up the hair and then sat down next to Jax. "I'm gonna miss my hair, babe." Jax laid his head on Miles' shoulder.
Miles rubbed Jax's back as Jax turned to face the toilet. Jax started throwing up and Miles went to get his anti nausea medication.
Miles returned with the pill and handed it to Jax. Jax popped the pill and swapped it dry. Miles was still impressed Jax could dry swallow pills this early on.
Jax lay still in Miles' arms for twenty minutes until Miles carried him to the bedroom.Jax laid his head against Miles' shoulder as he was carried upstairs.
Miles laid Jax onto the bed and crawled under the covers with him. "I love you Jaxon, forever and always," Miles and then he kissed Jax's forehead.
But Jax wasn't asleep. The pounding in his head left him paralyzed, afraid to move because of the pain. Miles cuddled up next to Jax and stroked his head.
Jax shuddered causing pain to shoot through his head. Miles noticed that Jax wasn't asleep. "Baby, I know you aren't asleep," Miles whispered. Just then, Jax broke out into tears. Miles sat up and pulled Jax in tight.
"Miles it hurts so bad." Jax whimpered as he laid down on Miles' lap. Miles held Jax for four hours as Jax sobbed in his arms. Miles stroked Jax's head until he eventually fell asleep.
The next morning, Jax was up before Miles. Jax went downstairs to take his medication, then he heard a knock on the door.
"It's too early for this," Jax mumbled as he walked to the door. When he opened the door, he was greeted by the face of his older sister.
"Hey little brother."
