He sighed. "You'll lose control, practically maul him to death, and, then, the only thing you will be able to do is reap his soul to save him from a permanent death."
Well, that was a cheery thought. Not.
"How? Why? I mean- Ah, fuck! I don't even know what I mean!" I sighed exasperatedly.
Therapeftis rolled his eyes. "Calm down. All I'm saying is you can't love him. So, no big deal. 'Cause we both know you haven't fallen deeply in love with him yet."
I sighed. In all honesty, I didn't really know how much I cared for him. . .
Therapeftis' eyes widened and he pinched the bridge of his nose. "Dear God. What the fuck are you thinking, man? Do you not realize how dangerous it is for a supernatural being to fall in love with a human?" He exploded.
Alright, strange sense of déjà vu here. . .

After a few minutes of being alone downstairs, I couldn't resist the urge to eavesdrop any longer. I slowly crept upstairs, silently praying none of the floor boards creaked and gave me away. I slowly tiptoed up to what I was assuming was Thanatos' bedroom door.
It didn't take long for me to hear what they were talking about. It was then that I realized I didn't really want to know. . .
"You'll lose control, practically maul him to death, and, then, the only thing you will be able to do is reap his soul to save him from a permanent death."
What the hell is a "permanent death"?
Thanatos gasped. "How? Why? I mean- Ah, fuck! I don't even know what I mean!" He sighed exasperatedly.
I clapped a hand over my mouth and tried to bite back my laughter. He was cute when he was frustrated. Wait. I did not just say that. . .
"Calm down. All I'm saying is you can't love him. So, no big deal. 'Cause we both know you haven't fallen deeply in love with him yet."
Wait, what? Love? Who is Thanatos supposed to be loving? Whoever it was, they better wa- What am I saying? BLAINE GET YOURSELF TOGETHER, MAN! I mentally slapped myself around a bit.
"Dear God. What the fuck are you thinking, man? Do you not realize how dangerous it is for a supernatural being to fall in love with a human?"
I gasped and fell backward when Therapeftis' booming voice violently yanked me out of my thoughts. I hit the floor with a loud thud and everything grew quiet all of the sudden. Alright, maybe it wasn't such a good idea to crouch down right in front of the door when I knew good and well how much of a klutz I am. Loud footsteps thundered toward the door and I quickly scurried back away from the door. Unfortunately, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and I ended up falling head over heels down the stairs.
I landed at the foot of the stairs and groaned loudly. That was so not a smooth landing.
Two heads appeared over the railing upstairs. Their concerned looks soon turned into scowls. Okay, so I may or may not have pissed them off. . .
~Thanatos~
This is why I don't like humans. They're all way too damn nosy.
