3 Months Beforehand…
I wake with a slight groan, a pounding in my head distorting all the sounds surrounding me.
“How are you feeling?” A calm, masculine voice asks me.
I sit up slowly, “Umm… not sure… considering I don’t know who I am.”
“That’s okay.” The guy replies softly, “Because I know who you are, and that’s all that matters.”
“Who am I then? Who are you?” I ask.
“Your name is Shadow. You slipped on a tree root in the forest and you passed out. I brought you here, but it looks like you lost your memory.” The guy explains with a sorry tone, “As for me,” he places a hand on his chest, “My name is Herobrine… and… I’m… I’m your lover. We’ve been together for a long time.”
“Really?” I question.
Herobrine smiles, “Yes. And it’s only because of me that you are here.”
“Oh.” I smile and blush, “You must have saved me.”
“Yes.” He beams, “I did.” He smile fades, “But there’s something you must know, my dear…”
“What?” I ask.
“You’re… you’re not like me or my servants… you’re… dead. Well, sort of…”
“What do you mean?” I question.
“There’s this guy… a dangerous guy… a few years back he murdered you. I brought you back, but not fully, meaning… you’re technically a ghost.”
“How can that be?” I ask curiously.
“Well… at first glance you seem like any ordinary girl, but if you choose to, you can travel through solid objects and fly and… turn invisible.”
“Wow.” I smile, “That sounds awesome.”
He chuckles, “It kinda is. And you can’t die either, or be harmed by mortal weapons. But… it does mean that you can’t travel from realm to realm. You can only stay in this world, or risk destroying yourself.”
“And you’re saying that… other people can?” I respond sadly.
“Yes, one person in particular, the guy who killed you.” Herobrine replies.
“Who is he?” I enquire.
“His name in this world… is the MinecraftUniverse. Although, people know him in another world as Jason.” Herobrine said my murderer’s name as if it was poison in his mouth. My cheeks begin to burn as I start to immediately detest the name ‘Jason’.
“But there’s more, my sweet.” Herobrine explains, “He just so happens to be very close friends with the king – you know who he is?”
I nod, “Yes. It’s Sky, right?”
Herobrine smiles, “Yes, that’s right. Well anyway, the king believes that it was me who murdered you.”
I gasp, “No! Jason lied?”
“Yes, Shadow. And now the king wants to sentence me to death to seek vengeance, which is why I hide here, in the middle of no-where. Squids are the only beings I trust, as they all hate the king.” Herobrine informs me.
“Oh no… life must be terrible for you.” I reply sympathetically.
“I know…” he sighs, “So this is why I must ask you something, my dearest.”
“Anything,” I respond, “Anything you want after all you have done for me!”
“If you ever get the chance, Shadow, I want you to kill the MinecraftUniverse. Can you promise that for me?” Herobrine asks.
“Oh yes.” I promise, “It only makes sense since he killed me.” But I have second thoughts, “But… what about Sky? Surely he’ll want to wreak revenge on me after killing his best friend?”
Herobrine grins, “You are very clever, Shadow. But I am already one step ahead; you need only to leave Sky up to me. I will deal with him.”
“Oh.” I exhale, “That’s a relief, this ‘Sky’ guy sounds serious.”
“Yes, he will be hard to… have done with… but I have the advantage.” Herobrine says.
“Oh yeah?” I reply, “And what would that be?”
A devilish grin appears on his face, “I have obtained the Legendary Sky Armour.”
My eyes go wide, “No way!”
“Yes way.” Herobrine replies, “I can no longer be defeated in battle, as long as I wear the armour.”
“Oh… you’re so brave!” I compliment him.
He chuckles, “And so are you, my dear…” he places a hand behind my head and leans in, “I must be off now,” he gives me a light peck on the lips, “I’m very busy.”
“Please stay a little while!” I beg, “There’s still so much more I need to know, so much more I can’t remember!”
Herobrine smiles kindly, “Do not worry, my sweet. Your memory will return back to you soon. In the meantime, stay here and rest.”
“But at least tell me one thing before you go.” I plead.
“What would you like to know?” he asks.
“Just tell me… where I can find this ‘Jason’. I want to make plans for him as I lay here.” I answer.
Herobrine chuckles once again, “Of course, honey. I believe you will find him in Adonia, probably spending a lot of time with the king. You must strike at the right moment, though, and it will take quite a few months for me to train you adequately.”
“But when I am strong enough to fight him… Adonia is where I will find him?” I ask.
“Yes. I am positive.” He answers.
