Chapter 6 Reunion

I've been in the underworld for two weeks now it's not so different from the human world. All kinds of species walk the city from vampires and demons alike. I finally feel as if I'm at home in a world where I'm not so different but I have not lost track of my mission. I must get stronger so I can survive if the demons slayers come looking for me word gets around surprisingly fast in underworld.

Lately Charlie and I have been training at the academy it's not what I expected it to be. There is only one school in all of the underworld but it doesnt just specialize in slaying. They teach you how to conduct your self in the human world vampires are sent to camps in order to supress their bloodlust. Werewolfs are trained to control their anger above all else they have short fuses and tend to lash out. Most supernaturals are are trained on their weakest quality.

I heard a rumor when we arrived that the princes little brother and the princess enrolled in the academy but I have yet to see them I find myself always looking. I asked my mom but she said the VIP students go at night for advanced training while the regular students are sleeping in their housing units. Only a few people are brave enough to try and sneak out the underworld security is very good at the job given to them.

I really wish to see how hard they train but I don't feel like getting attacked for spying so I wondering if I could transfer to night school for VIP training I'm going the ask the Head Elder (a.k.a Dad) maybe I'll get lucky.I was heading towards the council room when I spotted the king walking the opposite direction. I put my hand behind my back and bowed it is customary when you see a royal.

"Lord Craft" I spoke with the highest of formality.

He stopped and turned to me "You are the Head Elders daughter am I correct?" he spoke like a true blood "Oh! And is this your retainer?"

"Yes Lord I'm Echo Clearwater and this is my retainer Charlie Kingdom" I spoke. I had clearly forgotten she was there sometimes she lacked in presence.

"Well it is a pleasure to meet another royal, I believe your parents have told you of the royal dinner at the castle tonight?" he questioned.

"I was not informed of this but I assure you I will be there, now if you will pardon me I have business with my father" I replied trying not to sound rude.

" Very well I will see you at dinner good day" he returned as he walked away.

"Man that was scary" I spoke to to Charlie while we continued on our path.

"Yeah he even has the aura of a royal blood" she replied.

We proceeded talking until we were met by two large doors leading to the council hall my heart was pounding like crazy I was nervous the council is in charge of most of the underworld. I knocked on the wood as the sound echoed through the empty corridor.

"Come in!" a voice boomed from the other side.

I gently pushed open the door making a large scraping sound. I walked into the middle my father along with two other men looked down from their seats. Charlie was waiting by the door trying not to bring attention to herself.

"What is it you need child!" my father voce boomed with authority.

"I wish to speak with you father about school" I yelled firmly.

"What about said school are there any problems" he peered down eyes full of concern.

"No father I wish to be transferred to the VIP night classes for better training" I replied still standing firm.

"Well your mother tells me you are great in training so I will see what can do but until I notify you, you will proceed with regular classes" he spoke. It toke every I had not to smile with joy but I kept my composure as I turned to leave I was interrupted.

"Hold on Echo I request you presence at a dinner at the castle later today I trust you will be there" he said it as more of a statement than a question.

"Of course father I will be there" I reply walking away.

**********Later that night************

I stepped out of a carriage to and gasped they weren't kidding when they said castle charlie looked as stunned as I did. The castle had a Hogwarts theme the inside was beautiful we were greeted By a dozen hand maids showing us to the dining room.

Yelling caught my attention when I glanced over to see the Princess yelling at a hand maid and the prince holding her back. The Look in her eyes made me wonder if she was going to hit her I on the other hand guided the hand maid out of the room. The prince gave me a approving nod while the princess glared at me. Ignoring her I walked into the dinning room and sat I. Between my mom and Charlie my father was at the head of the table Right then the royal family walked in taking their seats.

"Echo I'm glad you were able to make it" the king smiled.

"Well lord my word is my bond I don't break it" I replied giving a toothy grin.

"That is very honorable"

"Thank you" I returned while everyone started their own conversations I just turned to charlie who seemed to be off in space. I glanced around the table to see the lenders staring at me when she noticed I saw her she turned and stated talking with her brother.

"Echo I hear you want to switch to VIP night classes" my mother asked turning to me.

"Yes I wish to get stronger basic training isn't really that challenging" I returned.

"I trust you and Charlie have been getting good credits?" I nodded in response. Charlie was still in space.

"Charlie are you alright your zoning out completely" I said using telepathy.

"I'm fine I recently discovered in in training retainers can do research in the telepathic community" she replied.

"What are you looking up?"

"I was researching the royal family, it turns out that when the old prince died the princes was locked in her room for weeks now that he is no longer alive next in line to receive the throne is her"

"What's so wrong about being queen of the underworld?" I asked.

"I turns out as soon as she graduated she wanted to live a normal life in the human world but now she can't because she will have to be ruling the underworld she will never be able to leave unless she has a successor to the throne" Charlie answer.

"that's why she is in such a bad attitude?" I said in deep thought. I guess thats like staying in the human world for the rest of your life that sucks. I was pulled out of my thoughts by a loud crash in the hall. I turned to see what had happen when a nightmare showed up.

"ECHO I SAID I'D BACK" it was that thing that infested even the deepest pits of my soul he came back
