Chapter 13 Oblivion?

ECHO POV

I crawled out of the echo sized hole in the wall where my father threw me. For a old fart he was really strong. I charged at him with all my strength causing him to break through two walls. I looked to see he had fallen out a second floor window.

I was about to charge him when a huge amount of pain appeared in my body my skin was on fire. I stopped in my tracks it was a tingle at first then a full blown fire. The I felt a ambush of emotions anguish, sadness, and betrayal at that moment I knew those weren't my emotions.

Then I heard her tho her voice it was Charlie I peered around looking for her she wasn't anywhere around me. I realized the voice was in my head it was her thoughts I could hear all of them flooding into my head.

That's when I heard something that completely set me off.

"Mrs. Clearwater is dead, Mrs. Clearwater is dead, Mrs. Clearwater is dead" she continued to repeat it over and over like she was in a trance.

I realized what she was saying it dumbfounded me. My mother was dead I didn't know how to feel the first about that thing I thought was she lying. My mom was not dead she was alive I was going to hug her when I was done. I was going to tell her I loved her and we would go home.

My mom wasn't dead! No it's a lie! She promised she would never leave no matter what happened. No matter how made she got she never left she never even hinted about it.

I held my chest I couldn't bear the pain it was seeping through my skin. My heart was beating slowly almost to a stop. I fell to my knees I think I'm dying.

I felt a pain more than anything I ever felt it was so hot. I was pulled into reality when I heard a scream it was Charlie. Then I passed out seeing my father approach me.

CHARLIE POV

I screamed all this pain I didn't know what was happening. I began crawling towards the stairs. I had to get to echo she was in trouble I felt it. I pulled myself up step by step feeling the pain the nerves in my body were burning. I was on fire.

When I reached the top step I saw echo laid out on the floor her father standing over her with a triumphant smile. I had to get to her I slide up the wall leaning. With every step I took I felt even more pain the closer I got. Mr.Clearwater was caught up in what he's was doing to notice my coming up behind . She was unconscious thin I noticed she wasn't breathing.

I limped to her side Mr.Clearwater was surprised to see me as soon as I touched her we disappeared. Thats not the right word we transported I still felt the pain be it was bearable I didn't understand what happening.

Then a women appeared she was wearing a black suit she had white hair with purple streaks . She looked about 20 or 25. She walk towards me and was pulling some thing out of her suit pocket. I laid my body over echo in a protective position. Showing her I was prepared to die for echo my last person on the earth.

She pulled out a small white book and a pen she checked two marks and put it back in her pocket. I looked at her confused at her actions I thought she had a weapon. She looked up at me the smiled and pointed towards door that was glowing. I appeared out of nowhere.

Then she finally spoke " Charlie kingdom and Echo Clearwater welcome to Oblivion"

With that she walked into the door leaving it open then beckoned me forward. I picked echo body up and walked cautiously into the unknown.
