Chapter 10 Monster

ECHO POV

I was lying in bed staring up at the blue ceiling like every night. The wind was blowing through the open windows. I could see the light from the full moon beaming inside. When I sensed something familiar but strange I peered around the room everything was normal I didn't see it but knew it was there. Then it hit me, It literally hit I held the back of my head. I was sent into darkness before I could see who it was.

I awoke in a dark room with two dying torches the walls smelled of blood and fear ran through my body. The room didnt feel right like I wasn't there at all . I knew the camp was nearby I could sense it. When I looked down I realized that I was chained to a chair that was bolted to the floor. I looked up I saw 'him' the bien of my existence. My father he was that familiar feeling My father kidnapped me? I was about to speak when he interrupted me.

"So you joined these ungodly creatures my own daughter not much a surprise considering you a demon yourself" he spoke.

"Why am I here" I asked questing his motives.

"well my beloved daughter you are not anywhere this is a illusion but I'm just here to warn you if you think you can take down the underworld your mistaken" How did he find out.

"The only mistake I have made is believe in you" I replied.

" I m just telling you for your mother and charlie's sake you will die if come up against us" he stated in monotone.

" I know everything you two faced liar you are going to die by my hand and I will send you to the placed you are most welcomed" I smiled.

"Well lets see who kills who love" after that he and the dark room disappeared.

That morning we decided to attack the underworld and kill my father. The high elder and the demon who has forsaken me.

CHARLIE POV

After we found out where Charlie was I the camp started to pack so we could go retrieve her so we could return to the underworld. Mr. Clearwater was acting weird though he seemed happy. But whenever I mentioned echo some kind of glint would flash in his eyes.

I kept a eye out since the conversation we had that night. He seemed to always be doing somthing Important in his study. One day he left with his wife to do work I guess so I went I sneaked into his study. Surprisingly the door wasn't locked I went throughout every thing in his office until I found a weird ring. It was red and had wings. I kept looking then I found Mr.C's journal. I flipped to the last page that was written in.

I've started to notice her powers aren't reaching what I expected. I'm going to dispose of her and that stupid retainer. I'll have to explain to Rachel why her second daughter was killed but she will manage.

I was interrupted by a door closing to finish the page.

I turned around to see Mr.Clearwater standing in front of the door smiling.

"your the demon" I said lower than a whisper. He just smiled.

"That's impossible you were there at the dinner party when it attacked" I arguied.

"hitler had six look-a-likes before he was captured" he stated.

"you attacked your own daughter! Why? It makes no sense" I yelled.

"you see my darling I was just trying to pass on the family jewel" he spoke.

"jewel?" I repeated

"Yes I'm a demon but I'm a powerful one the only way to pass on those powers is to attack you child. To bad it didn't work this time I'm really disappointed in her. Turns out anger nor fear brings out her monster it's revenge. The desire to get back what was taken or destroyed" he smiled.

"your a monster! How could you take away your daughters life for this?"

"well my dear she would have learned to love the power It gave her the confidence to know you could kill anyone who dared step out of line." he laughed.

"I wont let you get away with this" I spat at him.

"Charlie you won't get away" he said. All of a sudden his skin started to peel off and red skin came to surface I panicked and ran. He chased me until I was met with and group of soldiers I only had one choice. I jumped out the fourth floor window hoping I had some kind of soft landing.
