through all that" lain asked brimming with excitement.

Lain is the daughter we adopted lain three years ago in the underworld she was five when here parents were killed. We would visit her between travels one day we took her with us. She is a hybrid between demon and elf it's very rare. Charlie and I were way to young to have a child but we still took her to many different worlds. We love her. I smiled.

"Hey be careful in what your telling her I dont want you scaring our daughter" Charlie scolded.

"Oh come on babe it's funny how a tragedy can turn into a love story. Huh." I giggled.

"So wait what happened to Uncle Derek he just disappeared?" lain asked.

"Well no, he appeared once while I was in oblivion" I tapped my chin.

I remember it was during one of my night Walks when I would think about my mother. I was looking up at the sky when I saw a figure standing near the lake.

"Echo long time no see" he greeted.

I smiled. " Uncle it's been a while what brings you to Oblivion" I questioned.

"I'm here to see you child I'm tell you something but you must never speak of it, it's a prophecy that will be fulfill in the coming years" he stated.

"Well what is it about don't leave me hanging" I stated.

Little did I know it would plague my mind for years to come. I still never understood what he tried to tell me.

"Echo I will see you again one day and I will bring with me a great adventure. A right of passage you will find anger, betrayal and utter turmoil. But in that I will ask ' will you come with me' he smiled.

"You never told me that he visited you." Charlie questioned.

" He did but he told not to tell anyone because in the wrong hands the prophecy brought great evil" I spoke spookily. I could remember it like it was yesterday.

"Well what was the prophecy" Charlie asked getting excited.

"let me see it was 'Time will stop a forever blunder, the world will silence. The chosen one will rise again, stealing all the wonders. Forever will the screams be heard, until the clock strikes one'" I quoted.

"Wow what do you think it meant?" lain asked in deep thought.

" well I never understood it though I could never forget it. It's like a lost memory even today I wonder what it meant he never came back though" I whispered the last part. I never saw him.

" It mentioned a "chosen one" but I wonder who" charlie questioned. Suddenly there a loud crack is heard outside causing me to jump.

"I wasn't aware there would be a storm" Charlie stated walking towards the window. When she opened the curtains I saw fear flash through her eyes.

"Echo take lain and pack some clothes we're leaving now" she commanded. She closed the curtain and walked into the kitchen.

Without hesitation I did as she said. Lain questioned what was happening. I just told her to get her clothes and stuff we're going on a trip. As I was packing a loud bang at the front caught my attention charlie had already turned off the lights. I packed the bag and slung it over my soldier. Lain was still packing. I approached door and pressed my ear to it.

"The chosen one is here I can feel it" a raspy voice spoke. I backed away from the door and walked over to the kitchen to see Charlie going through the safe.

"Their at the door" I whispered.

Finally lain finished packing she had a duffle bag and was wearing a hoodie. Charlie walked towards us with a backpack and a sword in hand I got it for her for christmas weird right but it opens portals to different worlds so it's useful. She threw the sword at the door opening a portal.
