ECHO POV

I approached the castle stairs when I heard a low growl. The grip on my sword tightened. I reached the top step I felt a his presence growing stronger. While walking down a corridor all the lights turned off. Being half demon I could only see slight shadows. I heard a loud audible laugh It bellowed throughout the dark.

"It was foolish of you to follow me my dear child" a voice said inches from my ear. I slashed the empty space.

"Well only a coward hides in the dark." I sneered.

"Coward, no if I was to show you my true form you would cower at my feet" I heard that smug tone in his voice.

"Any form changed into by you is therefor a coward"

"Echo I thought you were the one you would have held so much power so much respect turns out your just another failed experiment that needs to be taken care of"

"Oh look at you thinking power earns respect you could be the most powerful person in the world and I'd never respect liar like you!"

With that the lights came on I saw a beast that would scare hades himself. He ran at me and I held my sword reading to fight the fight that would end my nightmare and allow me to wake up.

CHARLIE POV

when I walked into the castle it was quiet the only other time I came to this castle had to have been almost two months ago. It was loud with the clatter of servants tending to the guest I heard the princess screaming and echoes beautiful voice. You know when they say the quiet before the storm I felt like I was in the eye of a tornado any wrong step and I'd be blown away.

When I came to reality the castle had gone pitch black I didn't hear anything. I felt the walls to make sure I didn't walk into any thing while I was walking I tripped over something. I felt over it a person! Lying in the middle of the hallway? I was about to say something when the lights came on the I heard a loud crash. I gasped at the sight of echoes mother lying lifeless on the ground.

"Mrs. Clearwater? Mrs. Clearwater Wake up!" she didn't move she was just there. Pale, cold and dead a tear ran down my cheek she was just a mother who loved her daughter. Like mine they were so alike I never got to tell her that. I stood up feel a great amount of anger and sadness build In me then it happened.
