Hey guys! I wanna thank anyone who reads this, it means a lot to me. I hope everyone enjoys this chapter. :) ~~~~~~

I have a photo of Riley. How do i show everyone? Message me and help????

Riley leads me from the  hotel outside to the moonlight streets, and then passes by all the buildings on the main road. I’m confused but I trust her so I don’t pull my wrist from her. Eventually, she let me go and I walked beside her. We were following a stone path that led to the beach.

“Ri, what are we doing here?” I ask her, although I’m enjoying myself.

“I told you.” She smiles at me and empties the bag. Out fall the snacks and a blanket. She lays the blanket flat on the sand and plops down, patting the space next to her. “To get your mind off everything. I know how your anxiety gets, and I want to make sure you’re doing okay.”

Without saying a word, she hands me a sandwich and lies back on the blanket and munches on some pretzels. We lay there in silence for a while before I finally say something halfway through my sandwich. “You didn’t have to.” I admit.

She looks at me with a quizzical look on her face. “I did though.”

“Why?” I take a bite of my sandwich.

“To mend us..” She murmurs. “We were so close. Then we just stopped after you got with Jess, after that night.”

A pang of guilt strikes through me. Does she actually care about me? I must’ve really fucked up. “I didn’t think you cared.” I say quietly and sit my food down. She looks at me in shock. “What?”

                “I did,” She whispers.

“So did I,” I whisper back. I lean in, and before I get too close, my phone rings. I groan and apologize to Ri. “Hello?”

“Hey. It’s Lisa..” My stomach immediately ties in knots. Not her, I just got over her. If she comes back in my life I’ll fall for her again, and get myself hurt again.

Yet I find it irresistible to talk to her. “I’ll talk to you later,” I look at Ri. “I’m busy.” I hang up before she fits another word in. I shake my head at Riley and steal a few pretzels from her. She smiles at me and laughs.

I lay down on my back the same way she does and we both lay there for a while in silence. Not those awkward silences, the really good silences. The ones that lift your mood, instead of draining you. The stars were so bright here. Away from the city lights, they gleamed so much it felt like they were six feet away from you. I look over at Ri, who is also mesmerized by them. I see them reflect in her beautiful eyes as they search the sky.

“I found the big dipper.” She laughs and points. I follow her finger tip to the sky and see it.

I laugh. “It’s gorgeous, isn’t it?” I look back at her, her smiles glows and the happiness spreads from her mouth to her eyes, and to the crinkle in her nose. Her hair in small curls, freshly dyed the brown color she loves. “Just like you,” I whisper.

Her smile doesn’t fade, but her skin grows pink. “What?” She asks. I smile at her and wink. Her brown eyes glisten and she quickly turns away. I chuckle.
