Hey! Not the longest chapter buuut picture of Jess to the side just so everyone knows what she looks like in my mind..!

It’s very hard to get ready for a date when your date is in the same room as you. They watch what you wear, how you act, basically how you’re going to present yourself for this date. It drove me insane that his eyes followed me around our little room. It kept eating me away until I finally grabbed what I needed and left for Cass and Rian’s room. I knocked delicately and they said to come in.

“What’s up, Ri?” Rian asks as he cuddles Cass while they watch a movie.

I roll my eyes in annoyance at the thought of Alex’s eyes follow me. “It’s very hard to prepare yourself for a date when your date is watching your every move.” I say and laugh. Cass jumps up out of Rian’s arms and makes her way to me, grabbing my shoulders.

“A date!” She squeaks. She smirks victoriously along with Rian who now is making his way to us.

“You planned him hearing me!” I accuse lightly. “Both of you did!” Cass blushes and Rian laughs but nods his head in agreement.

“Bathroom is all yours, Ri.” Rian waves me off to the bathroom. I turn the lights on and shut the door. I sigh. A date. This should be good. I pull out my skinny jeans and I pull on a white t-shirt, adding on my black boots. I braid my hair in a side fishtail and pull out my toothbrush. I quickly brush my teeth while I search through my bag for my makeup with my free hand.

After my teeth are done, I apply a light line of eyeliner to the top lid and then add my top and bottom mascara, making sure to do my normal three layers. I like long, thick lashes. I snoop around Cass’s perfumes to find one I like and end up picking one with a bottle shaped like a woman’s curvy figure. The name of it looks French, and I make no attempt to decipher what it says. I sigh before stepping out of the bathroom with my other clothes in my hands. Cass and Rian give me thumbs up and I smile as I head back to my room. I use my key and see no sign of Alex. That’s odd.

I put my clothes in the dirty hamper to be washed and I sit on the chair and fiddle my thumbs as I wait for Alex. I honestly have no clue where he could’ve gone. I start tapping my fingers impatiently before Alex finally comes through the door, ends his phone call and smiles at me. Wow. He looks amazing. I eye him up quickly, making sure not to linger on any part of him. He’s wearing a black t-shirt with a red flannel over top. He’s wearing skinny jeans and black shoes. He catches me and smirks, I look down.

“Who was on the phone?” I ask and stand up as he walks to meet me.

“No one important,” He smiles and leans down and touches his lips to mine for one sweet second and pulls back. “You ready?” He asks. I nod. He leads me to his car and drives me away from the big city. I look at him, unsure what’s happening. He turns off onto a back road, not even that, it’s a dirt road. He rolls down all the windows and I immediately worry about my hair. After about half an hour of driving he stops. Before I open my door, he opens it for me.

“What are we doing here? And where is here?” I ask him as he locks the door. He pops the trunk and pulls out a projector, ignoring what I’d asked. “What are we doing? I repeat. He smiles and leads me up the hill until we see and old barn. He checks around before making his way in. I follow him with worry and confusion etched on every inch of my face. After setting the projector down, he pulls all the windows and doors of the barn open, propping them with rocks. “Alex.” I say sternly.

“Yes?” He finally answers and hooks up the projector. He walks behind me and pats the blanket draped over a pile of loose hay. I sit next to him, sinking in the hay the same way he does.
