'Why do you look so angry Avery ?'

'I ain't had pussy in two days.' He said, sitting down on Nyier's and Meech's lounge chair. 'So shut up.'

'Aww.' Nyier cooed, coming up to Avery and pinching his cheeks. 'The baby mad.'

'Move.' He said, trying to move his face away Nyier which only made her chuckle.

'Aww.' She pouted. 'I cooked.'

Avery stood up and went into the kitchen without another word bring said.

'Listen. ' Niya started off, still a little shaken up. 'About this message y'all.'

'Ion know who could've sent that shit.' Angelo started off. 'But I ain't worried.'

'Says the soft nigha.' Kenny spoke, making everybody chuckle.

See, before everyone got to Nyier and Meech's house they decided to put every bad situation that they had going on, on pause. They'd do this often whenever they all just needed a moment to be together without confrontation of problems inside of their little group.

'I ain't soft.' Angelo retorted.

'Yea okay. If you ain't soft then I'm not pregnant.' Niya said, standing up to go to the restroom.

But before she could even get there and close the door, Kenny was right behind her, pushing the door back open.

'Niya.' He said in a low tone.

Niya turned around and rolled her eyes. 'We're on pause Kenny.'

'Fuck pause Niya, I love you. You can't put my love on pause.'

'Can you jus get out and let me use the restroom ?' She said, trying to push him back.

'You not finna use it. You finna stand in here for like five minutes and think. You always do it before you go to bed or whenever you feel like it. Don't lie to me Niya.' Kenny said to Niya, stepping all the way into the restroom and closing the door behind him.

'Baby .' He said, grabbing a hold of her hands and stepping closer.

'Don't baby me.' Niya harshly mumbled, trying to stay quiet while snatching her hands away. 'And get out like I said.'

'You don't want me to get out.'

Niya didn't say anything because she knew that it was true. Even though it hasn't been long at all she missed Kenny a lot and that was something that she couldn't help.

But just because she missed him didn't mean he had a free pass to get at her with all of his soft, lovely words.

'I miss you Niya.' He said before stepping close enough to be hovered over her. He lifted her chin up in an embrace before giving her a kiss.

At first, La'Niya was surprised but the longer she kept her lips attached to his, the more she actually wanted to kiss back. So she did.

And while all of this was happening, everyone else was in the living room in discussion.

' Why would we do that ? That's gettin into the mess. '

'Then what chu wanna do, jus let whoever this is come at us like we sittin ducks ?' Nyier adjective with an attitude.

'Not at chu ? Remember, you didn't even get a message.' Dope pointed out.

'Meech got a message, which means that I got a message. His problem is my problem.'

'His problem is my problem.' Dope mimicked her voice, earning the middle from Nyier.

'Nah see that's what we do.' Avery thought aloud, finally speaking since he came back from the kitchen.

'Let's jus not do shit. If somebody want us then they know where we at.' He spoke.

'Yea I can't be feeling like a G right now when I got two kids to be lookin after. ' Nyier pointed out, holding up Milo, who was speaking in gibberish and playing with one of his toys. 'I need to know that I'm good.'

'You are good.' Meech told her. 'Believe that.'

'Don't even worry bout the shit, I'll handle it.' Avery told them, continuing to eat .

'Where Kenny and Niya go ?' Angelo asked, looking back at nothing in particular.

'She either murdering him or they fuckin. ' Nyier pointed out. 'They fuckin.'

'Good thing we movin.' Meech said, giving Noel a little high five.

'I gotta leave out a little later than y'all. Erin want me to come out to New York and meet her peoples.'

'Whaa- and you said yes ?' Nyier fake gasped.

'Of course I said yeah to her.' Avery shrugged.

'You lied to her ?!'

'Nah I didn't-' He cut himself off, kissing his teeth afterwards. 'I didn't lie to her. I'm serious.'

'Since when ?' Dope asked, laughing afterwards.

'Since I been wit her. Y'all don't think I'm serious about Erin ?' Avery questioned in disbelief.

'I mean ..' Meech started off. 'We don't know.' He shrugged.

Avery nodded his head and kept quiet. He looked back towards the upstairs, wondering if La'Niya and Kenny felt the same.

'But we know now. ' Nyier added in, snapping Avery out of his thoughts. 'And I hope that it goes good when you meet her family.'

'Thanks.' He nodded. 'Me too.'

'Ay taxi !' Erin shouted and whistles at a yellow cab, making it stop. Her and Avery got in, closing the door behind them as Erin gave the driver a specific location.

They were leaving a hotel that they would be settling in for the night to go and visit Erin's parents apartment. Avery was honestly nervous but as usual, he stayed calm and nonchalant about the situation.

'Goodness Avery.' Erin sighed.

'What ?' Avery asked, looking up from his phone.

'Don't do that thing where you act all cool so you can seem intimidating. It doesn't work on me and it won't work on them.'

'Ion even know what chu talm bout. ' He shrugged.

'Yea okay.' Erin smirked.

'Baby calm yo lil ass down. They gon love me cause I'm that nigha.' Avery  reassured her, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

'Is that what chu put on applications ?' She joked.

'Yup and I jus hired like that.' Avery said while snapping.

'Here you are.' The taxi driver said to them both, stopping by the curb.

They got out and Avery followed Erin to the building right in front of them. They went up the stairs and she buzzed her parents apartment number's buzzer. Eventually there was another voice heard over the speaker.

'Who is it ?' They asked.

'It's Erin .' She spoke and soon afterwards the door unlocked.

Avery opened the door and held it so Erin could go in ahead of him. He followed her up a couple of stairs and down a hallway until she stopped at a door, knocking on it.

The door swung open, revealing what seemed to be a teenage girl who looked nearly exactly like Erin.

'Oh my god !'
