'Babe.' Erin happily rushed through the house with a bag of snacks in her hand. 'Baby I was outside and there's a bunch of people out having a BIG local luau. They're going to some huge field nearby and they said that anyone's invited. You wanna go ?'

Avery didn't answer her. He was fried right now and stressed out. He didn't know how he'd deal with his own problems and it bothered him because he always had a plan. But how could he have a plan for someone he had such a soft spot for ? Nijia was his best friend and this right here was bullshit.

He looked at Erin before turning away and not answering her. 'What's wrong ?'

'Nun, I'm coo.'

'Are you sure-'

'I just said that right ?' He asked with an attitude, making Erin look at him weirdly. She stood up and left right back out the front door. She didn't know what was wrong with Avery but she wasn't going to stick around and find out while he was in such a mood towards her.

Avery kissed his teeth and stood up, running after Erin in a hurry before she could drive away. He hurried over to her car and knocked on the window.

'Baby ... baby get out the car.'

'I don't have time for your bullshit Avery.' Erin told him while rolling her window down.

'Just get out the car E. Why you gotta be so difficult ?'

'I'm not being difficult, you're being an ass.'

'A'ight.' Avery kissed his teeth and removed his hands from the car. 'You dippin then go .. bye.' He said, turning back around and walking off.

Erin shook her head as she drove off.

Naomi left a couple of days ago. She had some shit to take care of but I wasn't really buggin about it. I told her that I didn't want this shit and my guess is that she understood. She didn't really give me a reaction so that was that. I don't even know if I care anymore. All of this is bullshit and I think I'm done trying to find a female to be with. I'm a just do me.

I don't even want to be around my folks. I don't want to be around anybody.

'The fuck-' I was cut off by my doorbell being rung repeatedly.

Getting up, I went to go open it but it was just Nonny and the twins. I smiled while letting them in and closing the door behind us. 'Wasup wasup.'

'Hi Dopey, we missed you.' Nyier mimicked a squeaky voice while holding up Noel in front of her.

'I missed y'all too lil thing.' I chuckled and took her from her hands while she picked up Milo out of his stroller and followed me to the living room. 'What y'all doin here ?'

'Well we knew that you were sad so we wanted to make uncle feel better. Ain't that right baby ?' She asked the baby who just laughed and tried to crawl over to me. 'Actually one of em said your name.'

'Swear ?' I asked, looking up at her in shock.

'I swear. They said Dope, but guess which one one said it.' Nonny cheesed.

I looked between both of them and thought about it for minute before making a guess. 'Noel ?'

'Nah it was Milo.'

'Shoulda known .' I smiled, kissing my teeth and looking down at him. 'You talkin now ? You don't want no smoke tho.'

Milo giggled and pinched my nose, making me hiss. 'Okay bro you got it.'
