'Morning baby, goodness I missed you and your sister. Facetime me so I can see how that stomach is looking. '

I pulled the phone away from my ear and started to facetime my mom. She was smiling so hard when she saw that I couldn't help but smile back. 'Look at chu. Girl you look good.'

'Thank you mamma. You look nice too.' I told her and I wasn't lying. Mamma never looked her age, she was gorgeous.

'I was just on the phone with Nonny and I told her that we were gonna be on our flight tonight so I don't know when we'll make it exactly but we'll be there.'

'That's okay ma. Y'all need to visit more often tho. Not jus for these lil family things.' I told her.

'Yea I know and I'm making more plans for that but I jus got a real problem with that friend of yours.' She ranted and I laughed, wondering who she could possibly be talking about.

'Which one ma ?'

'The light one. That boy is a mess.'

'Yeah he been actin up but I'm a make sure he be good at the cookout.' I don't know if that's true but Angelo is going to have to fix himself before everyone gets here. His mother isn't going to be on it anyway.

'Oh and I was jus talking to Demetrius' mother the other day. She said that she didn't know if her and his Maw are gonna make it.' She pouted.

'How come ?'

'Well MawMaw's getting sick and they don't know if it's safe to fly her out there like that.'

'Does Meech know?'

'I mean when I was on the phone with Nyier she said that he was really sad about it so he must know.'

I was sitting on a mat on the floor in the living room, just thinking. I wouldn't call it meditation though because well, I was smoking a blunt and listening to music with one of my headphones in and the other wrapped around my ear. I heard footsteps behind me and knew that it was Meech because Angelo and Kenny were still asleep on the couches. 'What the hell is you doin ?' He laughed.

'Chillin before I make breakfast.' I hummed with my eyes closed.

'You sum'n else.' I heard him say. Then it sounded as if he sprayed something and it started to smell like flowers.

'Oo that's pretty, what is it ?'

'Febreeze.'

'Why you spraying that?' I asked in confusion.

'Cause I had to fart.'

'And I'm done.' I said, getting up and going into the kitchen with him. I gave him the blunt before pulling out some things to make breakfast.

Halfway into it Kenny had woken up and came into the kitchen frowning. 'Ion wanna hear shit from either of y'all.' He snapped. 'Nasty ass nighas wanna be loud as fuck in the middle of the night.' He mumbled to himself and I could feel my cheeks heating up.

'I'm surprised y'all ain't wake up them kids. Don't make no damn sense.'

'You don't like it then get out my house.'
