*INFINITY WAR SPOILERS AHEAD*

Narrator's POV

There was a war coming. A huge war, and quite possibly the worst that Earth's mightiest heroes has ever had. Not just the Avengers, but also the Guardians of the Galaxy were worried about what was happening.

People were running for their lives, as the children of Thanos came to Earth to find the two Infinity Stones located there.

Peter Parker and his classmates had just gone from a field trip, and Peter suddenly looked up from his seat, when he realized that his spider senses was telling him something. He looked out the window, and saw a giant space ship, making its way down to Earth. Peter caught Ned's attention, and asked him to cause a distraction.

"We're all gonna die!" Ned yelled, jumping up from him seat, causing the other students to look out the windows, on the side that was opposite to Peter, giving him time to change in his Spider-Man suit. MJ turned around, as she realized that Peter was nowhere to be seen, and she saw him putting on his mask, hanging onto the window. Peter looked back at her, a sad look behind his mask, because he never said goodbye to MJ, and this battle might be quite possibly his last. He quickly changed, and he went slinging away from the bus.

MJ didn't realize how bad this battle was going to be. While she was at home, chaos was going all around the world, and within hours, something didn't feel right.

She did not know that Thanos, who was behind all of this, wanted to wipe out half the universe, just so he could stop overpopulation. The idea of stopping overpopulation was a good thing, but his solution to do it was not right at all.

Within hours into the battle, something happened. People started turning to dust and just faded away.

People were dying.

MJ looked out her window and saw it. She saw the people turning into dust, and she widened her eyes, shocked, and scared for her own life. She started tearing up, waiting to turn to dust like the others. Waiting for death to come.

But it never did.

One minute passed, nothing. Two minutes, nothing. And this went on for minutes, until she realized she was alive, but how?

There were still a lot of survivors, but no one could explain how they lived, or how the others died.

MJ suddenly felt sick to her stomach, as she realized something.

Peter.

Where was Peter?

She tried not to think that he was...he was gone, because she had faith that he was alive. Somehow, maybe he could've been one of the lucky people to live.

But he wasn't.

After Peter helped in fighting Thanos on the planet Titan, Thanos escaped, and was able to collect all the Infinity Stones, and he was successful with his plan.

Unfortunately, all of the guardians had died, except for Rocket. Groot had said, "Dad," right before he was gone.

T'challa died while trying to help up Okoye.

Bucky tried to go to his best friend, but he turned to dust.

Sam had no idea that he was going to fade away.

Wanda clutched onto Vision, and then she was gone.

But Peter knew he was going to die.

That was what his senses was trying to tell him.

He finally understood.

He was going to die, but he really didn't want to.

"Mr. Stark?" He said, and Tony turned around, and saw the poor boy clutching onto his own body.

"I don't feel so good." He looked like he was about to cry, and Tony tried to calm him down.

"You're alright, kid." Tony wished he was true to his word, but he could tell that Peter was going to die as well.

"I don't know what's happening!" Peter exclaimed, holding onto Tony for support. He hugged Tony tightly.

"I don't wanna go. I don't wanna go. Stark, please. Please. I don't wanna go. I don't wanna go!" Peter started to fall down, laying down onto the ground. He looked at Tony in the eyes, knowing that this was the last time he'd be with him. Tony Stark, the father figure of Peter Parker.

"I'm sorry..." Peter was about to cry, but he turned to dust even before a tear had fallen. For the first time, Tony showed that he genuinely cared for the boy. Trying to catch the dust he had turned into, hoping that he wasn't dead. Tony broke out of his tough shell, and showed that he cared and loved Peter like a son.

But Peter was gone.

And MJ had no idea.

She had no idea that the boy she loved was gone.

Her parents lived.

Her best friend, Ned, had lived.

Peter's Aunt May had lived.

But the love of her life was dead.

And she spent a whole week, hoping that Peter would come back, somehow.

He didn't.

Things had to be fixed in the city, and after about two weeks after the battle, school started again, and many buildings were being fixed.

Everyone at school seemed normal, but it was not the same anymore.

Every remaining student mourned for their loss, but was still trying to do the usual things they did at school.

MJ went to school with a heavy heart, feeling something missing. She cried every night, knowing that Peter was already dead.

Ned was the same. He's never cried so much before, and when he realized that his best friend had died, he finally broke down.

And May...poor May. She lost her husband a few years back, and then her nephew. She didn't have anyone left in her family, so she started to become closer to MJ's parents, who were also both very sad about Peter's death.

Everyone who knew Peter lost hope that he was alive.

But was he really gone?

A/N: No. No. No. I nearly cried while writing this. Dammit. And I'm listening to 'Rewrite the stars' again, which just basically reminds me of Peter and Michelle. I can't...I can't. But it's not over yet. I'm not going to end this story with Peter dying, cause, well, I'm not a fan of sad endings. I really wish I didn't have to do this chapter but it had to be done. I promise that things will get better. Thank you all for reading :'(
