"Yukio," you whispered, taking his hand. "What's wrong?" The winter air was brisk, and you shivered deeper into your coat.

The exorcist stirred suddenly, a shiver running down his spine, and he turned his head to look at you. Snow dusted his ebony hair as he smiled at you, but his eyes shut you out to how he truly felt.

"Nothing," he answered lightly. "Can't I just enjoy spending time with you?" Just like his turquoise eyes shut you, so did his smile. It was a polite way to distance you from him, which is something that he had been doing a lot lately.

It pissed you off! He needed help, too, just like everyone else.

"Why do you do that?" You asked sharply, taking the front of his winter coat in your hands.

"Do what?" he asked, seeming genuinely confused by your abrupt harshness.

"Shut people out! It's dangerous, Yukio, and you know it!"

The Exorcist's eyes widened as tears began to spill slowly over your lashes, and he wrapped his arms around you. You nuzzled your face into his chest, hiccupping occasionally in your distress. "If you continue to bottle up your feelings you'll rip yourself apart, Yukio! You have to let people in! You have to let people help you!"

Yukio wasn't sure what to say. "I... I..." Where to begin? What did it mean for him if Rin was the bastard of Satan? What did the blue in his vision mean? What even was he!? Human, demon, or something else. The younger twin gritted his teeth, his arms tightening around you, and he rested his chin on top of your head.

"I just don't know who I am anymore, (Name). I'm a stranger to myself."

There was a long pause; silence began to overwhelm your thoughts, and you looked up to find tears standing like stars in his eyes.

"Please, (Name)..." he whispered. "Help me find myself again, even if it takes going through Hell and back."

You smiled sadly through your own tears, brushing a thumb across his cheek. "I promise to be there for you. We'll get through this."
