He had the most gorgeous eyes of anyone you had ever seen.  Shimmering crystalline irises with coloration similar to that of a tropical ocean.  They had never been that easy to read, and maybe that was because of his constant run-in with demons, but lately something had begun to bother you.

Sir Pheles had explained to you that Yukio was doomed to follow the path of a demon, and there was nothing that could be done to change that.

“We’re doing this again,” the Exorcist said, his breath brushing gently against your upper lip.

You nodded carefully, keeping your gaze steady with his own.  You brushed the hair back from his forehead while studying his eyes for any possible demon abnormalities.

“May I ask what you’re looking for?”

You hummed thoughtfully, “Does there have to be a reason to for me to look at your eyes?”

Nothing.  Normal, human and beautiful as they always were.

You could feel the heat of his blush, and he rubbed the back of his neck.  “I guess not…”

Yukio’s lips brushed your own unintentionally, and the heat increased in both of your cheeks.  He cleared his throat before attempting to pull away, but a hand on the back of his head stopped him.

His dark, ebony lashes fluttered against your own, and he moved his mouth forward to plant a kiss on your lips.

Those beautiful shards of turquoise were the window to his soul, and yet it was hard to see through a window so foggy and confused.
